RadioShack 2.4GHz RC Surveyor Drone

this is so small, it's even hard to find in the home, so we don't dare take it outside, so it sits on my son's dresser as a model.

Buyer beware. The flight controls are extremely soft, leading to a lot of instability in flight. It is nearly impossible to hold still.2nd - There are no guards for the rotors. This is fine if you're in an open field with zero obstruction. If you're not, the blades will pop off quite easily. Given the previously noted instability, it's not easily flown indoors w/o crashing, and no rotor guards means the blades pop off routinely, and are easily lost if outdoors.If you purchase, make sure to buy extra blades. I'm returning - there are more stable quads easier to fly that are more durable.

Gave it to my son for his 9th birthday and when we tried to use it, the one propeller didn't spin. It took off from the ground, flew sideways and whacked my kid in the leg with the propellers. Totally bummed, it was the only gift he got today and it was broken. Sending it back

Hey quad freaks, just a heads up. I have 2 of these quads. Now i have seached the internet looking for the motors for these quads. After researching, the Syma X5 motors as a perfect fit. When ordering, get the plastic pinions, seems the brass are press fitted on, plastic are a slam dunk removing.It funny Radioshack doesn't carry replacements, they do for the Hubsan X4, but they are the next diameter up as far as size.

Cute little drone. For the price, it does a lot. The video is ok. It does fly high & is great for neighborhood shot, but the little guy is a bit rough to fly. It takes a lot to keep it stable. It tends to try to get away from you. Being so small, when it crashes it is kinda hard to find unless you are in an open area. All in all for the price it's a great training tool which give you video of you flights (& crashes) LoL!

I bought this drone from radio shack, and as an experienced flyer, I can honestly say this is the best drone I have ever owned. it's durable, easy to fly, and takes great videos. also, when it flies out of range, it drops, unlike other drones, which continue flying. definitely worth it.

I picked this thing up from Radio Shack yesterday. I gotta say its pretty awesome! After a few crashes, I broke one of the propellers in half. Luckily it comes with replacement props. I've been flying this thing indoors and having a blast. I got the Air Hogs model and it picked up a hair and burned a motor out during the second flight. The radio shack drone picked up hair and still flies. Although the video isn't great (incerted sd card in my galaxy s3) this thing is a lot of fun, and can handel some pretty hard crashes. I reccomend it for a reasonably priced beginner drone.

This thing is a very good flyer. First of all it is STABLE in flight, which is a must if you want to have fun with any remote control flier. Secondly it is rugged. What happens to me when I have a hard landing is maybe a proppeller will pop off. No big deal I just stick it on and keep going. I have flown it constantly for about a week with no issues. This thing will do forward, backward and sideways flips too! You can also take video and pictures while flying. C'mon, a lil' tiny drone that is sturdy, does flips, takes video too for about 40.00! What's not to love?
