I have worked with many different selfie sticks and I have found that while almost all of them work exactly the same way they vary in their feature set. This is one of the nicer selfie sticks I have used and so far I am pleased with it. It is made well and it has a couple of nice features that make it a little different than the majority of sticks I have seen and used.This stick extends by a twist-and-lock mechanism, which generally is superior to straight pull extenders. When extended and locked the whole is about 3' in length and it does not flex very much, even when some weight has been added. Even though the arm seems strong this is a very lightweight unit which is great for transport.The harness is a straight spring-loaded tension holder that can be pulled wider to support larger phones. It is not the easiest harness to open but it holds well which is more important.What I like most about this selfie stick is the way the harness is mounted. The mount is on a universal shoe that can allow for mounting a camcorder or dedicated camera directly, as it uses the same size screw used in tripods. But, instead of being permanently attached to the stick, it can be removed and replaced with a GoPro mount instead. So, this is the first selfie stick I have used that actually can handle just about all types of devices. And because of the universal mounting screw it means you can use any harness you like and do not have to use the one that came with it.The remote shutter is a true remote, not a button built into the handle. It is a teardrop-shaped remote that can operate independently of the stick. I like this, but it does mean it is possible to actually lose the remote. On the flip side, it means this stick works with ANY remote. The remote takes a CR2032 battery which is fairly easy to find and it keeps the weight down.The base of the stick includes a port for mounting on a tripod so the stick can be used with a small tripod. This is where having the remote separate from the stick comes in handy. If you want to take a timed shot or if you want to compose a shot using the stick as a holder for the phone it is easy to do if you have such a tripod.In operation this stick works exactly like every other Bluetooth stick I have used. The remote pairs and connect to an Android or iOS phone (identifying itself as “FSHANG-BT01”) and when the camera is active, pressing the shutter button activates the shutter on the phone’s camera. It works very well with phones that are supported. I tried with a Sony Xperia Z and it worked without incident. I was hopeful it would work with my Windows phone and it did not, and this was disappointing but expected. If you pair the remote to a Windows phone it connects immediately but disconnects after about 10 seconds and it never operates the shutter.Included with this stick is a wrist lanyard to help maintain balance and control of the stick while holding it. A lanyard in itself is not a big deal except that most sticks I have used do not include one, so having one is a thoughtful touch.I really like this selfie stick. It is one of the better ones I have used and it works well. I especially like the mounting shoe and the ability to swap out to any harness or device I want. This is a pretty good selfie stick, good for an intro to the selfie stick world.Pros: Good solid feel Comfy hand grip and a wrist strap Solid locking extension which is aluminum Adjustable cell phone grip/head Flexible rubber grip on the head that attaches the cell phone (see pic) It opened wide enough to hold my cell with a bigger case on it (for fear of losing this post I won't say the brand of case but it's the midsize of an animal named case -so it's a lot bigger than just the phone) The attachment that holds the phone can fit 2 ways, on the side or on the back. This allow for a broad range of angles to get your selfie Remote operation, once it's linked just press the button on the remote and it snaps a pic. NOTE - to record you initially manually press record and the remote button stops and restarts the recording (at least that's how it worked on my droid) Fast and easy blue tooth - turn on the cell phone blue tooth, turn on the remote and link themCons: Only 19" when extended from the base of the hand grip to the top of the stick itself (see pic)Because of all the other great features, the 19" extension is small potatoes for me. This is a great selfie stick! I almost forgot to mention that a camera could just as easily screw into the selfie stick and be used as well for videos.I received this selfie stick in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

It deserved zero star. Very disappointing as I ordered it before a trip. Synchronized the bluetooth and took one picture. On adjusting the stick the entire stick fell apart. the plastic cap at the bottom of the stick that holds it together was broken and that is why the entire rod slipped off. Stay away from it.. You get what you pay for.

Cheaply made but it works as intended.It would be better if there was a button on the stick, rather than an extra fob that you can risk losing.

Very sturdy. Easy to use and fits in my bag.Syncing is easy too.The foam grip on the handle got dirty thouOver all..I've had it almost 9 months and love it

it is ok. but i am afraid about losing the bluetooth button.
