Review after 400 miles...
I waited until I had over 400 miles on the bike before writing a review, and so far, so good. I wanted a low priced dual suspension mountain bike to ride 3 - 4 times a week for about 25 miles at a time. My old bike had 26 inch wheels and no suspension, this one rides much better. I know that the suspension parts are not the best as they are just springs, but they seem adequate for my needs which is mostly on paved and an occasional fire road. If you need rear locking or want dampening, you will need to spend a lot more money.I ordered the matte black and blue model mostly because it looked like it had mounts for a water bottle cage, and it does. It also came with a side stand. In 400 miles, I have not had any problems, and have not had anything get loose or fall off. I assembled it myself, and didn't have any problems or missing parts.I am 6' tall and weigh 185, the bike fits well and has a nice ride, I really like the 29" wheels. I am glad that I bought it and would recommend it to a friend as long as they are over 5' 10".

All the required features for a great price
I’m about 6’, 200 pounds and was looking for a fun activity to augment my daily dog walks. With so many awesome trails here in Washington State, this seemed like a good option. Ronald Reagan was in the White House the last time I bought a bike, so obviously the technology has come a long way since then, but there were a few “must-have” features this bike satisfies:- Price: As neither a real-estate mogul, nor someone who gets paid $200,000 for a speech, I didn’t want to spend a fortune, and this price-point was perfect. Based on my riding skills and intended usage, spending any more seemed frivolous.- Full suspension: I had back surgery a few years ago so needed something to soak up the bumps; this bike delivers.- Disk brakes: We measure rainfall in feet around here, so reliable all-weather stopping is critical. These brakes are so much better than my previous antique.- 29” wheels: I know this remains a debatable point, but for me this bike feels perfectly sized and is still very agile in narrow trails. The seat post is about halfway down so there’s room for someone a few inches taller or shorter than me.- Quick-release seat and front wheel: the bike fits perfectly in our Mazda MPV but not in our Nissan Pathfinder, so this is a very nice feature if you’d rather transport your bike inside the vehicle. On a related note, I’ve had enough recent experience with medical devices that I didn’t need to sit on one every time I ride. The stock seat is pretty rudimentary, and after 5 minutes I knew an upgrade was necessary. I bought a Cloud-9 Cruiser Select Airflow CS Saddle for about 25 bucks and it’s night and day compared to the original.Overall, I think this was a great investment.

This beast rides like a dream!
I upgraded from a cheap Walmart Genesis 29in bicycle to this beast! The bike came very well packaged and the only things that needed to be put together were the front wheel and the handle bars. One thing I did notice was that the front brake disc was ever so slightly bent (did not affect it's purpose though). I watched several YouTube videos on bicycle assembly to make sure I had everything correct. I have never dealt with disc brakes on a bicycle so I wanted to make sure they were set properly. It took me about an hour to get the bike assembled and all adjustments to the brakes done to my specifications and it rides like a dream! I did keep my aftermarket seat from my old bike though and installed it on this. It seems like any new bike you get will come with that thin hard foam seat. It looks great and feels great and for the price, you get a great deal from a very reputable company! - - - Edit: After 3 months and a little over 150 miles on the bike, I encountered an issue where the rear gear mechanism broke. Luckily, the "Lifetime Warranty" offered by Schwinn stood up to its promise. I got the model number and date code off the bike - called the number on the service sticker and within a few days I received the parts I needed. Assembly was fairly simple after watching a few YouTube videos and now I'm back on the bike. I added this to be perfectly honest about the product, not to say that it is cheaply made by any means but to say that it is well worth the extra money to have this lifetime warranty.

A heads up to Schwinn - after a year of ...
A heads up to Schwinn - after a year of purchase, I noticed some traces of rust on the handle bars. Due to the extent, I decided to strip it to bare metal and discovered that the material had rust pitting on the bent portions. It seems that the material is substandard ordinary steel and did not go through any proper treatment before being painted. I am aware that this unit is under lifetime warranty but I have shipped it to the Philippines so not so hopeful that Schwinn can do much about my predicament.Downgraded by another star as the SRAM rear shifter ceased working today. I disassembled the contraption and found the grooves on the gear already worn out. Again, poor material quality that does not make the SRAM brand proud.Up to this point, the Schwinn lifetime guarantee is still silent and does not seem to exist.

Excellent beginner full suspension mountain bike!
This is an excellent bike! I haven't had a mountain bike in about 7-9 years or so, so I've been out of the loop. Plus, this is my first full suspension bike. I've always used hardtails in the past.Anyway, it is a very nice ride. Having the full suspension really helps with the ride and definitely lessens bumps in the road, cracks, etc. I'm still tweaking the rear derailler, but all and all, very smooth shifting.Took a good deal to get assembled, and especially tuning. The disc brakes are great, but they were frustrating to get optimized and in tune. But, after all that prep work, it is a very solid bike.Highly recommend replacing the stock seat with a more cushionny one.Highly recommended bike to beginners, like me!

Good bike for the money.
Everything was packaged well and delivered on time. It took me 15 minutes to assemble and everything seems to work and is adjusted well. Although I have a lot of upgrades to add, I believe this is a great bike in it’s stock form.
