My son loves geocaching.The thrill of finding some random treasure,With his birthday in January it's always difficult to find him somthing after the Christmas period when he's had almost everything he needed and wanted.This was a wild card, a last minute thought and it has been by far his best present.The set comes with everything you need as a begginer, even a mini spade for digging.It is easy to set up and use and even though we've found no treasure yet, we did discover a few coins just loose British change. It's a fun Sunday morning activity strolling the beach looking for treasure.We intend on taking it on holiday with us in the summer.Hopefully it will continue to provide us with lots of family fun.I love the fact it has all the functionality of a higher end metal detector in a mid range price bracket.

I bought this detector after reading they had improved the plug, THEY HAVEN'T. The pins are so thin the plug kept dropping out the socket. Pity it could be a good entry detector.

Very easy to assemble. Easy to carry when it’s fully assembled with the handy back pack. Looks like the business. Tried it in the back garden, tested it with a few coins and a gold ring. Really need to get out and play more to get use to the signals and the different tones/ beeps. Handy shovel/ pick comes with it’s own pouch. Headphones are on the ear type. I replaced the batteries for a better make, plus I put spare batteries in the back pack.Going to Formby / Southport on Saturday, will update again after my outing.Update as promisedWent out to Southport and had a fantastic time. Found a old nut and a very large bolt, think they were from when the pier was updated. Still need more practice. The Metal Detector is really great and at a great price.

Fairly robust manufacture for the price and easy to put together. Just about fits in bag once collapsed to shortest length. Is a very basic detector which seems to work well in most terrains. Because it's a basic model it can throw up false signals in high mineral soils or shingle beaches. But can be tweaked by discrimination of iron and/or reducing sensitivity level. (On more expensive models there's a ground balance mode.)Detecting a known source, the signal was a a little eratic and fluctuated between metal types but then for £100 it was to be expected.I would recommend getting high quality batteries or rechargeable ones as the supplied batteries only lasted a couple of hours.Headphones were adequate and worked ok. The accompanying shovel was ok for sand and light loose soil but not for substantial digging. There's a compass in the handle which was next to useless and of little benefit.All in all an inexpensive detector for the occasional treasure hunter or for children but there are better quality detectors for the same price; maybe not with accessories but if you're intending some more frequent or serious detecting then I would opt for the entry level Minelab or Garrett detector.It's made in China... but then isn't everything!

Picks up metal to a good 12" depth. Used on soil and sand well. Is lightweight and splash proof. Comes with headphones and a very good foldable sturdy strong spade. The carry bag is useful. Used it 5 times now in woodland, grass fields, mud and on the beach (pebbles and sand dunes) and seems good for the money. Bought for student son who is pleased with it. Makes days out more fun. Found lots of metal but no treasure as yet. Works as well as those a few hundred more. Would recommend.

Used twice and then the beeper stopped working and the buttons didn’t do anything either. The only way to switch the unit off was to remove the batteries. It worked to find items but couldn’t detect a gold ring or coin when I was testing it out.

Really good metal detector for someone trying it for the first time.Really easy to set up and nice to have a strap around the arm, as makes handing the detector easy to control.Took sometime to get use to the sounds and what depths they objects are at but more times you use it the better you will get.Did have an issue with the spade not working so contacted the company and they acted very quickly to replace the spade and very happy with their customer service.Would definitely recommend.

The shovel and carry bag are very handy. But the detector itself we found was intermittent, poor detection. Not sure if it needs calibrating or something? But we found it very poor on the detecting front! Went out once and its been in the loft since! Very disappointed with it. I feel I should've paid more for a better one (although I didn't class the ommo as cheap) the ommo crushed any treasure hunting dreams and excitement the kids had!

Cuando lo probé no sabia muy bien como funcionaba pero al final fue fácil de utilizar.El primer día que lo probé no funcionaban los cascos, no me importó mucho ya que si funcionaba bien no había problema. Al segundo día probé el pin-point y funcionaba cuando le daba la gana, tanto si había metal o como si lo dejaba apuntando para el cielo. La búsqueda lo mismo, si subía la sensibilidad al máximo y lo apuntaba hacía el cielo a veces sonaba todo el rato y sin siquiera moverlo.

Einfacher und logischer Zusammenbau! Die Tasche ist praktisch und die Schaufel ist für kleinere Tiefen ausreichend.Mit etwas Übung schafft man dann auch tolle Sachen zu finden.Für Kinder auch sehr gut geeignet da die Bedienung wirklich übersichtlich und einfach ist und der Detektor Höhenverstellbar ist.Batterien würde ich immer mehrere mitnehmen das der Spaß weitergeht!!Kann ich nur Empfehlen! Service ist TOP!!

Detektor tut was er soll, er ist am Anfang vielleicht etwas schwierig einzustellen. Ich würde empfehlen am Anfang jedes Metall zu suchen um Übung zu bekommen. Schwierig ist auch die gewünschte Sensibilität einzustellen, ich würde empfehlen selber ein Metall z.B. eine Münze zu vergraben um damit zu üben.
