Hooke Road Wrangler JK Hood Lift Support Struts Assist Kit Compatible with Jeep Wrangler JK & Unlimited 2011-2018 - Pair

I got this hood lift support kit for my 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK, and it worked really well. It makes opening and closing the hood so much smoother, and it holds it up securely without any wobbling. The install was super easy, took me about 15 minutes with just a few bolts. The instructions weren’t great though, pretty vague, but I figured it out by looking at the parts and where they fit. Really happy with how it turned out, and I’d recommend it to other Wrangler owners.

Took maybe 30 minutes to install. Fits solid on my jeep, makes opening the hood so much easier. Just mount to the side hood of your jeep holds the hood up solid to make oil changes and fluid changes so much easier. Well worth the price.

Was able to correct design issue with hood connection by removing one of the two screws inserting and installing second screw

Assembly was moderately simple. I bought this because the engineering looked more sound. The struts aren’t the smoothest but okay. Before you install depress the struts 7-10 times to “activate them”. Trying to do this after install takes way more force and stress the setup.

Super easy to install. This is absolutely the best. No more flimsy little stick to hold up hood. Just pop the hood and up it goes - and stays. Thirty minutes to install.

Installed in about 30 minutes. Agree with others about the instructions. Amazon’s product photos actually aided more. With a little mechanical skill the installation was a breeze. They function great and actually put a little tension on the hood latches which I like. Very strong and the open is open wider with tgw shocks vs the prop rod.

When pretty quick about 30 minutes they work really nice. Very happy that I installed them.
