Good stable wifi connection for 4 smartphones using YouTube/ Netflix/ Disney+, one Xbox and one Nintendo Switch playing games. All devices connected at the same time, no lag or buffering.Range with good performance is about 50 to 80 meters outdoor depending on what height is installed and 10 to 20 meters indoors depending on the number of walls and building material.Device performance will depend on your internet access speed, this will not improve the internet access speed from your provider, will only allow your wifi devices to use that speed better than most stock routers provided by the ISPs.

It's a good piece of hardware but it has to be added to a router that has an existing connection. If you try to us this to replace your sky or BT modem, it won't work. You can plug it in the back.

It Works

I brought this router to run in a separate room and along-side the main router which is located in a different room. After long chat with tech support, and a second long chat to support, I've discovered this router will only work using an ethernet cable and connected to another router. It won't connect wirelessly to another router.

Bought as fed up with Virgin router, this has replaced all issues with speed and signal dropouts

Great piece of kit that works great

Linksys Max-Stream AC1750 MU-MIMO Fast Wireless Dual-Band Wi-Fi RouterNeatly presented within a sturdy box which offers good protection during shipping. This Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router comes supplied with a separate power supply by way of a UK wall plug transformer with an output of 12 volts. Also included is a single Ethernet cable, Quick Start Guide plus a Documentation CD.This Linksys Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router appears to be well made, it's also quite attractive to look at. The main unit measures 25.7 x 20.7 x 4.5 cm, it weighs 610 grams. This has 3 antenna that each measure 15.8 cm in height. Each antenna can be manipulated into various positions and angles to best suit your Wi-Fi requirements. These are fixed to the main unit, they cannot be unscrewed as is the case with some models, although I cannot think of any reason why they would need to be removed.Ventilation appears to be very good. There are 2 large ventilation areas on top of the router, 2 on the front, another 2 either side, along with 2 further large vents on the underside. On the base of the router are 4 solid rubber feet which help protect any surface this is placed upon, it also holds the router high enough to allow sufficient airflow for cooling. Also on the underside are 2 slotted screw holes so this can be mounted on a vertical surface such as a wall if preferred.On the rear of the router are from left to right: USB 3.0 port, WPS button, Reset button, Internet port, 4 Ethernet ports, Power socket and Power switch.You are supplied with a Quick Start Guide which is quite easy to follow. If you require more detailed information then there is a supplied CD with full documentation included. I do recommend you check this documentation out as it not only gives much more information about the router, it also outlines some very useful features.This was very easy to setup when compared to others I've used in the past.This is not a top end model so some of the more advanced settings may be a little limited. But, this does have some useful features which will be more than enough for most users. It is a solid built, well ventilated router, it also looks smart sitting upon our shelf with it's 3 antenna. Connectivity is good, I've suffered no drop outs whilst testing this, speeds appear to be good too.The only minor issue I found was that the range was not quite as good as I was expecting, the range was adequate for my needs. If you wish to push this further, you could always add an extender which of course means buying something else. All work fine, had to restart the router only once for the past month so nothing critical.
