Women Geometric Acrylic Statement Drop Earrings Transparent Stone Earrings With Golden Edges

I love red earrings that are larger and really show up through my long hair so I bought these thinking I could pair them with so many of my red blouses and a certain red dress. Well they are perfect for that, very pretty with gold trim. But they are very heavy and the studs that they came with don't hold them up. So I'm using a pair of rubber backings that fit tightly, issue solved. But they made my poor ears scream in pain, turning them purple and causing them to swell huge. I then tried my trick of applying a layer of clear nail polish to the stems, two coats, but with the heaviness and my alloy allergy I just can't wear them for more than an hour or two. I doubt they are nickel and lead free although I believe the ad said they were...I'm so disappointed because they are so gorgeous, and add just a very bright pop of red, one of my favorite colors. I suppose if you're used to heavy earrings and can handle cheap metals, (now they DON'T look cheap at all) you could wear these and would love them. They are big, 3 in. long and 1 in. wide at the biggest width (across). You could call them statement earrings easily, they make a beautiful statement. I just can't wear them...:( They didn't come in a box or a drawstring pouch for gifting, just wrapped in bubble wrap in a baggie on a card. I had to take two stars off because of this and the metals. They were delivered in a couple of days with my Amazon Prime.
