Lisa Gardner never disappoints!
Even with a short story you're on the edge of your seat while the plot thickens. This was a great read. Bringing in some of her best characters together on this short story was genius. Truly one of my most favorite authors, I've read and own all of her books. I anxiously look forward to the next which I've already pre-ordered. Don't forget to participate in her maim a friend, kill a Buddy sweepstakes.

Nice twist at the end.
I rated it four stars as the ending felt a tad rushed. I adore Lisa Gardner and ALL of her work but this particular story was a tad formula for her normal style. Still, I love the voice she gives D.D. Warren and it rang true even in this short story. For a quick read, I don't feel cheated. I don't think anyone who is a fan will be disappointed. The authors note is a nice touch and makes me anxious for the next amazing novel!

Ok
To short, the author rushes through, not much going on but it was an ok read. Not much to talk about so I will leave it at thatThe narrators did a great job from true emotions to the pain and sorrow. Great character voices, a nice normal voice. There were no background noises, no volume changes, could not tell when they took a break. They gave you a very enjoyable listen that I totally got lost in.

Good read
Have to say that I was shocked at the reason for the murder. I've never heard of such a thing.

Disappointing
I really enjoy Lisa Gardner's books and am especially fond of the D.D. Character series. This short story, however, was so disappointing. I know the author states it was based on an actual case she read about but nonetheless the storyline was terrible. It was almost comical. Don't waste your time on this short story. It is ridiculous and so unlike her other books. Moving on.

Great short mystery story
I'm usually not in to short stories but this one really kept my interest. I enjoyed the way that they eliminated suspects with the four interrogation rooms. It would be a good book to read in a airport waiting on your airplane.

Shoe Fetish
I’ve read all of Lisa Gardners books in order. I must say this is the strangest. But unfortunately it was based on a true story. How strange and demented some people areI would recommend this book

Missing the meat of Lisa's novels; Not a fan of the short story
This is what I call a short story. It involves my two favorite Lisa Gardner characters: Quincy and Rainie. I thought they were long gone, only to reside on a shelf waiting for new fans of the author. I jumped at the chance to find out how they were doing.Called in to consult on a 10-year old homicide case, Quincy and Rainie assist D.D. Warren interview the possible suspects. There are four interview rooms, three of which hold a suspect. The fourth room sits empty. Is the killer one of the three suspects, or an elusive 4th unknown? Hence the title. It's difficult for me to give a glowing review, simply because there's just not much to talk about. The story lacks the development of characters I'm used to. It doesn't have the depth of research facts so much a part of Lisa's books. Because of that, I'm giving it a so-so. Nothing negative, just a good short story.
