Good but needs work
I really wanted to like this knife right out of the box but simply couldn't. Not sure what happened but the factory grind on this knife was horrible. I had to regrind it using a file before I could get a decent edge on it. After doing that it was easy to get it shaving sharp. Everything else about the knife I like. It's comfortable to use and the sheathe is great as per usual with Condor. A good buy but expect to put in a bit of file work before it's serviceable.

Love the knife
I personally love this knife,I was drawn to it by its looks, to me this is a cool looking knife, fit and finish is pretty decent love the walnut handle, but it did come dull as sin, to me that’s not a problem I put a nasty edge on it but it should come sharp but I love the knife and it’s primitive look and once you have a nice edge on it, it slices like nobody’s business just very, very slicey

Like the knife, Sheath was a miss
Leather snap on the sheath was just 3/8ths too short. I understand new leather is snug, and I'd hoped if I could get it snapped and carry around things would work themselves out, but despite an hour of twisting and pulling I just couldn't get it to go. Will be exchanging.

You’ll be needing to alter the sheath.
Nice little knife, but as mentioned the sheath strap is to short to snap. Using a coping saw and sandpaper, I altered the sheath and strap and now it works fine.

Other reviewers are putting the knife in the sheath backwards/upside down...
First, Every reviewer saying the snap loop is too short/tight are wrong. The snaploop is actually just a little too long. They are putting the knife in the sheath the wrong way.Look at the listing photos, then look at the review photos. Also, look at the shape of the blade and handle. Compare that to the shape of the sheath. They are clearly putting it in backwards/upside down. One of the reviewers is even trying to fasten the snap over the top of the handle which is obviously wrong and would not retain the knife even if it did snap. The top of the sheath is the part that protrudes further, it follows the shape of the knife and blade. This part is intended to open up and go over some of the wood handle (as is pictured in the listing photo). This will soften up with use.The sheath works fine as it is. You could choose to modify the sheath, but not in the way those reviewers are. What you would want to do is trim just the part that is designed to open up and go over the wood handle. OR you could sand down the front of the wood handle (remove the flat edge) so it makes a ramp to open the sheath on its own. With all that out of the way... The knife itself is honestly not worth 60$. This is maybe a 30$ knife. It comes dull, the grind is uneven, the steel is poor, it is very thick behind the edge. Fit and finish are barely a step above what I saw from Pakistani junk the locals tried to sell us on deployments. Being a relatively broad blade, it should have a high flat grind to taper the blade stock into a good useful slicer, but it doesn't. It's ground like an axe. Low flat grind to a thick convex edge. This knife will never be a tomato slicer or a skinner or a camp food prep knife. Not without a belt grinder to reprofile the entire blade. It doesn't have the shape to be a bushcraft knife so that grind is just wrong for this knife.

Great EDC knife with 1095 steel.
This knife is the perfect edc companion. Made of 1095 it retains its razor edge better than most of my knives. I don’t understand what the complaints are about the sheath. It’s very well made and excellent design provided you posses the intelligence to correctly insert the knife the way it was designed. I will be buying a spare in case I ever lose this baby.

I wonder?
I wonder if @Michael and @Dale C. Snyder ever figured out that they had the knife the wrong way in the sheath. Maybe that's why the snap didn't fit. Excellent knife. Great design. A little heavy for a neck knife, but a good edc if you can get it on your belt.
