What is the difference between this model (cm125) and the cv125?

The difference between these two models is the handle

Is the handle black micarta, or is it the greyish color?

How does this compare to the victorinox master mic l?

This knife is much better then the victorinox. Better steel,better ergonomics,better fit and finish,and a great sheath.

Can the sheath be made to wear on the left hip?

No, but it would definitely be worth the purchase and making one or buying a replacement/aftermarket one made out of leather or kydex. Keep in mind that a standard kydex sheath often will scratch the blade face a little. But it’s definitely worth buying. A replacement sheath for the Cattaraugus 225 Q (WWII “commando/quartermaster knife) in the original lefty configuration might work. They can be found on fleabay and around the internet.
