This item sat in 20 degree weather for several hours when I received it, and the flashlight still worked, and the compass was accurate. I purchased it as a gift so I haven't tested any of the enclosed items, but they seem to be decent quality. I had an issue with an item so I contacted their customer service and they immediately replaced the item, I received the replacement three days later. The only real issue is the bobber is to big for the fishing tin, and is difficult to get out, but that's manageable, just be careful of the hooks. If it's in your price range I recommend it, if your looking for something less expensive you can cut a lot of cost on their website by custom ordering. I recommend them, they stand behind their products, and they sale refills.

Although he says he's easy to shop for, my husband is the hardest to really impress with a gift. I came across this when his birthday came around in November and finally made the plunge to get it for him for Christmas. It's different, it's cool, and you never know when it'll come in handy. A good all-in-one tool to keep in the car or to take camping. Definitely worth the price.

Kit has a well made housing but to make it a survival kit I will have to do more work. Let’s get it right on the table shall we. There are NO water purification tablets, no emergency survival blanket, no fire steel (yes there are a few matches). While I love the concept and design, the application is lacking. It is not a good value at $135. I suspect a creative person could duplicate this kit for $20. I’m gonna return it.
