Need Training Wheels - You found them!
My little guy needed new training wheels. We found these. They're incredible! At first, it was the price that caught our attention, a great deal compared to some other training wheels (that aren't as nice), but then we took a closer look. These wheels are like little monster truck wheels! (Granted the title should have tipped me off, but in my defense I was just looking for 'training wheels'.) My son flipped when he saw them! (Daddy, too.) He (my son... with his dad) met the mailman every day at the mailbox asking if his wheels had arrived yet, he's an impatient little monkey, so when they did arrive, the mailguy delivered his package to our door with a huge grin on his face telling him that his wheels had arrived! (It only took a couple days, but like I mentioned, he's impatient.) He ripped open the package and immediately helped his dad put them on and quickly showed off his new monster truck wheels to everyone who would look his way! They are very solid. Nice and thick, and so much nicer then the usual training wheels. By being bigger and bulkier, they actually add to stability. They're easy to put on, easy to take off, easy to adjust, and came with all the hardware needed. For your little monster truck fan, these are the wheels for you!

Best option we could find
We have an autistic grand daughter that needed training wheels for a Barbie series bike we bought her.I did my research and realized that there are many cheap no name options and most have questionable reviews.I grew up with Schwinn products and have always had great experiences. So, I ordered this kit.It took some work to get everything to fit correctly but that was not the fault of this kit.I would liked to have seen an instruction pamphlet included so I knew exactly where each nut, bolt and washer went.I had to wing it but wasn’t to terrible because I used to assemble bikes in my younger years. The only potential issue I can see anyone having with this kit is if there rear wheel studs don’t have enough bolt thread sticking out to catch. Ours barely did on the left side. Again, that isn’t the fault of this kit. Those side support brackets that come with this kit are very important to keep the training wheel from slipping out of position. Will update if we have any issues.

We’ll never know how this product works…
Schwinn has created a training wheel so impossibly difficult to assemble that I simply put it in the trash. In theory it’s assembled exactly how one would imagine. The parts provided provided to complete that assembly—that a whole different story. Either somebody in packaging put the wrong hardware in the box or their supplier of hardware really sucks at making nuts, washers, bolts, and brackets. The parts don’t fit together in a way that makes it possible to tighten the locknut. Having a degree in and experience working as mechanic repairing and building small airplane engines, I’m confident that I’m not misunderstanding how to assemble and attach a set of training wheels to a child’s bike. But, maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m clueless. Regardless, Shwinn product in garbage, in my way to purchase a new set manufactured by a company named “not Schwinn.” They’ll be getting our business when it comes to bikes, etc.

Cool wheels
For the price, I like these training wheels. I figured the wider wheels would be better on our gravel driveway. There are some rubber strips at the center of these plastic wheels so they last longer. All in all they look nice, are light and were cheap.I believe these are on a 12" bicycle but I went into this expecting to do some simple fabrication. Rather than mess with the rear axle, I clamped the arms to the bike frame. Much more solid and they'll never get knocked out of adjustment. The only trouble is that I needed to notch the arms to fit the frame tubes. Not hard with a die grinder but in all I spent a couple hours on the install. A couple pieces of aluminum flat bar with M8 bolts clamp the training wheels to the bike. Two boys will use the bike so the extra install time was worth it.I couldn't mount the training wheels without some sort of mod. I was in a good mood so no big deal.

Great wheels, if you attach/assemble them properly.
These wheels are great!I ordered them despite a number of bad reviews; and I am happy that I did.Word of warning: you will need to use proper tools to put them together (I guess this is what some people here failed at).I was missing some tools the first time when I mounted them, and I attached them "tight enough" as it seemed to me, using the tools at hand. This resulted in the wheels falling apart in less than a week. But I knew right away that it was my fault.I then got the right tools, and attached them "crazy tight", as tight as I could pull. They've been on for over a month now, they look great, and my kid loves them!So my verdict is very positive, I highly recommend!

Worth it! Huffy 20" bike.
I originally purchased a different set of training wheels for my son's 20" Huffy bike. Because of the way the metal frame portion of the training wheels was manufactured, with the hollow portion facing the bike, they did not work as it was impossible to screw the nut head on with the limited thread remaining. This pair of Schwinn training wheels has the hollow portion facing away from the frame, so there is enough room to screw the nut onto the thread. It works perfectly on a boys 20" Huffy bike.

Easy to assemble, sturdy
I was worried after reading some reviews, but these attached very easily to a Schwinn 20 inch bike. We have been on so many long bike rides and they are holding up fine. The wheels are plastic, so I imagine they will eventually wear down, but training wheels aren’t needed for long and these are a great value for the price. I have a very happy grandson!
