Pretty Bird International Bpb73316 Weaning Bird Food, 2-Pound

My 11 week old harlequin macaw loves these! He's figuring out how to hold them properly still. He drops a lot of them, which makes my great dane super happy cause she loves to go through and pick up all the ones that he drops. My sun conure (who is already weaned) loves them too. I'll give her one here and there as a special treat. She holds them perfectly and chomps away. They are bird (and dog) approved!

I bought this as a treat for my parrots. They won’t touch it. Bag was very dusty/dirty as if it had been sitting on a shelf for ages.

My bird won’t touch it I tried soaking in juice like they recommended but she still doesn’t try it

My 4 month old is being weaned off of the formula and this is the only thing he will eat for now. I have tried all kinds of stuff and this is it. He has learned to even hold it to eat it. I love this stuff.

Apparently this item isnt eligible for a return. I tried it with my 11 week old conure twice and he refuses to eat it. Wasted $$$

This is a good product. My bird likes it...ok. He would rather have a grilled steak, med-rare, thin sliced, with Worcestershire seasoning and a side of soft buttered peta bread with a light sprinkle of bell pepper seeds and any cheese. He is 35 years old, armed and proud as a samurai, a hefty 3.5 pounds and knows what he likes and voices his opinion about everything for all to hear. If he doesn't come down with e-coli from a uncleaned piece of fruit or veggie or spoiled water, or a fruit seed he will out live me and end up Who knows where. Beef animals beware!Pellets round out a birds diet so my bird has to choke down a couple daily with his veggies and fruit because desert is a much loved walnut that disappears if he only pretends to eat his nutritious food. Birds are very smart in their own way. He understands the difference in rewards being witheld vs. teasing (bad idea). He will eat Pretty Bird an one other brand of pellet. It is a constant but important struggle to get his pellets inside him. Pellets looks the same no matter how long it stays in the bowl but it doesn't stay healthy or nutritious just because it looks the same. I give Rowdy 4 fresh pieces each day and toss out what is left every morning. If You wouldn't eat day old bowl of cereal give your poor prisoner of a bird fresh food every day. If YOU wouldn't drink water the water in your birds bowl wash it out and give it clean!
