I didn’t really know what to expect of this item before I purchased it as a gift for my five year old. He and my three-year-old really enjoyed breaking apart the block of rock and they lit up whenever they would find the stones and crystals inside. If you have more than one child, I would highly suggest getting a second chisel-type tool so that they don’t fight over the one that is included. The main block does create quite a bit of dust when chiseling away at it, so just be conscious of that and it is a bit messy, but as long as you lay down something under the block to catch the rock bits and dust, you are good. You may also have to help chisel way at the rock because my five-year-old did have some trouble with the bigger bits. The stones hidden inside are cool and you get a little pamphlet that explains what each of the stones and crystals are. I thought it was fun for the kids and even for myself, a fun little discovery activity to do together, and I would highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this product. It came with 20 different gems. All the gems were of good quality and a good size. I plan on buying again.

It’s a nice thing but for a 8 year old who read 20 stones and only got 18 is not fun! He doesn’t accept that he got 18 and maybe he could have gotten 20. Not s cool thing for him. Very upset!

I really like this and it was fun, but I didn’t start finding rocks until about half way through and then they were all grouped together. Overall tho, it was fun and definitely something I would buy my niece when she gets over.

This little kit is awesome. I just wish they would have given a little bit more sturdy tools. We ended up using our own. Other than that he loved it!

My eight year old daughter loved this! She loves rocks and this was very exciting for her. She spent so much time and was still having fun that eventually it got too late and she had to put it up and save it for another day!
