The book starts with advice about things you can do well before your interview to gain an edge over other candidates. It also warns you about the dirty tricks interviewers may use to unsettle you and how to respond together with advice on the top 5 interview mistakes which could wreck your chances of a place at medical school. Next it goes into detail about the top ten most frequently asked questions followed by the next 66 most common questions as reported by actual candidates together with suggested answers which show you the common themes and patterns. Review: I am so prepared now - Okay, so I have spent loads of time trying to find out information on how to prepare for my Med School interviews and really got nothing. Most of the sites or forums where gimmicks so I was sort of out of luck. But I didn't want to do this unprepared. I had spent years working up to this point, so I didn't want to end up "just walking in" and winging it like some people recommended. But finally, after loads of internet searching, I found this book. For the amount of money it costs, it was WELL WORTH IT. I am now more confident and prepared for my interviews. Thanks a lot! Review: Good Value! - Good book with a practical approach to facing interviews.

Vital For All Aspiring Doctors
If you are considering applying for medical school or already have an interview lined up then this book will show you exactly how to perform at your interview. For less than 10 bucks you would be made not to purchase something which will make a different to the rest of your life.

Half of it is good for American applicants
This book would be perfect if it had the American information as well as the British. It's great for the standard questions, but then it gets into British medical laws, which are useless for American applicants. I recommend this book if you supplement it with another one, which I am currently looking for still.

Fantastic guide!
I bought this book for my younger brother who is currently applying to study medicine and he tells me its been an absolute treasure trove of info, useful tips, and excellent guidance. In fact, even though its designed specifically for those applying to med school, most of the advice given can easily be transfered to all sorts of other interviews, whether they are academic or for work. Great guide!

medical school interview
This book has a very large bank of possible questions which really opened my eyes to the sorts of things I could be asked in a medical school interview. The questions are organised by clear sections however so it helped me organise the areas in my mind and helped me see that a few pre-prepared examples can be used to answer multiple different types of question. One small criticism is that some of the suggested answers were a little short but it’s probably more important to see the style of a good answer so you can create your own rather than trying to memorise lots of information. The multiple mini interview section was also very helpful as it is hard to find information on this relatively new interview format. I’m currently applying to medical school and I’ve bought several interview preparation books including this one. The good points of this book are the introductory parts about how to prepare before the interview, what to do while waiting to be called, relaxation techniques and the warnings about dirty tricks interviewers might play on you which weren’t covered in the other books I bought. The answering ethical case studies chapter was also the best I’ve seen about answering this type of question as it just goes through everything you need to mention from legal aspects, regulatory bodies, ethics etc. On the whole if you have a medical school interview coming up I’d recommend buying several books to get as much information as possible and see different ways of approaching the questions but this book would definitely get my vote to be on that list.

Fairly good resource for medical school interview prep
Bought this in 2017 to prep for my medical school interview. It was a pretty good resource to get ideas flowing, and practise some questions that may be asked in the interview.
