Very nice book
I've found the book interesting and easy to read with the rules simple to pick up and fun to play. A system you could use for more than one shot horror sessions and a wealth of information for Alien film fans.

Fantastic Book - Easy to Learn!
If you are a fan of the alien universe and have even a passing interest in roleplaying this is a must buy. Even if you have never roleplayed before this book has such a simple system for players to learn it doesn't take long to grasp. The book give you everything you need to get started, with tons of examples sprinkled throughout in addition to a complete starmap and lots of lore. The presentation and layout is excellent with awesome concept art and such clever writing that keeps the imagination flowing throughout. There is so much stuff compiled beyond the original movies, you will be sure to have plenty of ideas for where you want to go and what you want to do by the end of it. I could not give this a higher rating!

Four star product. One star seller & delivery.
The Alien RPG from Free League publishing is an officially licensed ttrpg game system and a lovely well produced core rulebook for prospective scifi horror gamers. While I'm pleased with the product, the delivery conditions were awful. Item arrived several days late and damaged (dented outer cover and spine). It had not been sufficiently wrapped by the sender before being put in the package, which at nearly 40 quid was a disgrace.Item was a gift and handed over late. Thankfully the recipient was happy enough with the item.I wasn't.

A totally refreshing RPG experience!
Really loved this game, with a passion. If you are looking for something to break up years of DND campaigning, and you want quality one shots or a deeper experience, Alien RPG is that. The artwork is great and the book is made of high quality high GSM paper.Great just for the read even if you don’t get a chance to play often.Loved it!!

Beautifully Illustrated And Balanced Gameplay
Came in packaged fairly well and protected. The book itself is beautifully illustrated and as a current GM for the campaign, despite it being built for One Shot cinematic usage the diverse rolling tables make it amazingly good for month long campaign play. Helps keep players on their feet with weather effects, weapons and alien species besides the Xenomorphs themselves. For Alien / Predator fans I say this is a must have especially if your already a fan of TTRPGs

An idiots guide for how to terrify your players.
Fantastic production values and a surprisingly strong ruleset. The 'cinematic scenario' leads to truly gripping one-shots. I ran the Chariot of the Gods scenario for my group on Roll20. Got them to play with the lights out. Halfway through the first session of four, all but one of them had switched their lights on. Out of a group of 5, not one was unaffected. Is this the stress mechanic? I don't know, but I do know that, with Zweihander for fantasy, this is now my joint-favourite RPG system. Campaign play awaits. As I said to my players, "I can't lie to you about your chances, but… you have my sympathies."10/10

A very complete experience with lovely presentation.
This is a high-quality book, with a full range of options, which will provide endless hours of fun for people wanting to play in the Alien Universe. Whether as space truckers, colonists or Colonial Marines, players can have a distinct experience each time: whether a one-off session, or an extended campaign.Everything about the book is dripping with authenticity, from the art, to the weapon guides, to the rules for the creatures themselves. A must for any Alien fan, or RPG player.

Excelente!

Amazing RPG for space horror enthusiasts
First of all: absolutely gorgeous hardcover book with amazing illustrations!!!The rules are explained in detail, the setting is a breath of fresh air coming from the “classic” D&D side of the TTRPG-table. Can’t wait to try this out with my friends!

A fun horror RPG and a good looking book
Having run D&D campaigns for almost 2 years, I approached the Alien RPG system with some experience with TTRPG mechanics, both in terms of D&D’s strengths and weaknesses. The Alien RPG system, with its focus on cultivating fear and panic, is an excellent system with unique mechanics that I can’t wait to try out (even if I’ll have to keep a lot of tables and cheat sheets in front of me).In particular, the Alien RPG does a couple unique things (at least in my limited knowledge of TTRPG rules): first, the option for Cinematic Play is a great concept, limiting the story to one session with 3 acts and giving each player personal agendas that change as the story progresses. Second, the stress and panic mechanics (which remind me of the sanity mechanic in Call of Cthulhu) are interesting, and combined with the low-power character stats, make for a tense and dangerous scenario. The book itself could have done with some better organization. For example, key mechanics often have you flipping pages or chapters to get the full concept. Also, a one-page cheat sheet for new players and GMs would have been great (these are available online, so no big deal). As for the mechanics, the one thing that worries me is the concept of referring to tables in combat. Signature attacks by the creatures require a dice roll on a table, the effects of stress require a dice roll on a table, critical injuries require a dice roll on a table (one for players as well as a unique one for the Xenomorph), etc. Conceptually, this allows for varied consequences, varied reactions by monsters, and more specific descriptions of damage, which is great in a TTRPG, but in practice it may be cumbersome to keep so many tables close at hand while running the game.Overall, I’m really excited to try this out. There are some great ideas in here, as well as streamlined mechanics to create a fast-paced, dangerous, sci-fi horror game.
