Delicious
I love rice (being South American) and was tired of trying new brands onlyto be disappointed. It felt silly to buy rice online but was totally worth it. Every cup of rice so far has met my standards. I’m glad I listened to the reviews.

Good rice, just know Hitomebore is not Koshihikari
It is not usually as flavorful or aromatic as a koshihikari style.Hitomebore rice is often more suited to absorbing the flavors of other foods.

Fell in love at the first bite
I love my rice soft, sticky and slightly chewy. My go-to rice was always Tamaki Gold ($45-50 per a 15lbs bag). Not anymore! I’m very impressed with the quality and the taste. If you like Koshihikari rice like me, you’ll like this. It’s delicious.

Just Amazing
Grew up in Japan so quality of rice is very important to me. I have been enjoying rice from CA for decades. They are good esp. for donburi items. But suddenly, I realized that they were not great on the second day - I wrapped the leftover rice with saranwrap, and the next day, the rice was not sticking together. So I tried this one. AMAZING!! Just amazing. I wrap the leftover rice in the say way, and microwave the day after. It is as good on the second day.

Outstanding Hitomebore
This is a great Hitomebore rice. For the past year I had been buying California-grown Hitomebore and was very pleased with its less-absorbing characteristics. Mostly cooked it when the goal was to mix it with other things like beans. But wanting to try Japanese-grown Hitomebore, I gave this one a try. The differences were immediately evident: thicker grains, more aromatic, and a bit more absorbent than the California variety. The flavor is simply incredible after carefully preparing the rice in a Japanese way. It must be the Japanese mountain water or something, but those aromatics and delicate puffy grains, with just a hint of stickiness, are the stuff rice aficionados live for. A definite repeat purchase.
