Working good!
The battery fits good and working fine--by now, need more time for a fully testing. It's easy to install once you've open the phone after several mini screws, the speakers, couple of protectors, and remove the old battery that is strongly attached, in few words, if you are not a tech guy it would be better to hire someone to install it. The battery came with 50% of charge and the included tools are very helpful.

Arrived with no adhesive tape to hold battery in place
This battery has no double sided adhesive tape to keep it from sliding around in the phone. I put it in anyway so I don't have a broken phone and it is charging so it will likely work. I'll have to take it apart again to secure the battery and that is a completely unnecessary pain. I've contacted the seller and will update when resolved.update: The product box came open during shipping and everything came out. The tape strip got stuck under a flap of the shipping box which I found when flattening that box for disposal. Phone is back together and battery accepts a full charge.

Definitely Worth the Price - Good Value
This battery solved an increasingly frustrating situation, where the original battery would drain quite quickly, then, when it got somewhere in the 60% range, it would just shut off. Last night I texted several people, then forgot to put the phone on the charger. This morning I still had 97% charge. Definitely worth it. I do have 2 caveats: first, the screwdrivers that come with the battery don't fit. They are torx drivers and what you need is a very small phillipshead screwdriver. Second, they don't include any instructions on how to go about replacing the battery. You can find Youtube videos, but it would be nice if they at least included a link to a good video. I tried several before I found 2 that, combined, showed exactly what to do. Regardless of these two issues, having a battery that works without having to spend a lot of money or even replace the phone makes it all worthwhile.

These appear to be new, not used
I have purchased the exact same battery from other vendors, and they were all "new-old-stock" or used (not sure), they have a manufacturing date of 2016.So far this pair of batteries have been working excellent (we have 2 of the same ZTE 981 "ZMAX PRO" phones). This phone is notorious for draining the battery, so I think the new batteries are working almost as well as when the phone was new. Even sitting on the shelf Lithium batteries will age and not be good as brand-new. After 2 or 3 years they are noticeably weaker than brand-new batteries, but I think they quit making batteries for this phone in 2017.Use a Qualcomm QC 3.0 (36 Watts) compatible charger to make the battery happy :-) Lower Amperage chargers like 1 Ampere (9 Watts) or 2.1 Ampere (18 Watts) charge way too slow if you are using the phone while charging.I am happy with these batteries so far, hopefully they last a long time.

You don't need to remove everything!
So far so good with the battery life, fixed a phone that died a few moments after turning on. There's a couple of repair guides out there that have you taking the ENTIRE phone apart so you can apply heat to soften the glue and remove it. If you get a firm, moderately wide plastic pry bar or even a wide tongue depressor, you can slowly, carefully pry the battery out. So you only need to disassemble it enough to expose the battery. Just be careful not to bend or dent it. Go slowly, work around the battery and pry different areas until it's free. Way less nerve-wracking than the ones that have you take the motherboard out in multiple pieces.

Saved me a lot of money
I bought this battery because my phone's original battery was not keeping the charge at all. I considered buying a new phone but instead, I decided to give a try to new battery. When I received this battery, I had no idea of how I was going to put it on my phone. The battery came with all the tools I needed to install it. I watcheda couple of YouTube videos and I went ahead and installed it myself. I fell very accomplished after I did and very happy with my phone now. I saved hundreds of dollars by doing this. So far, my phone works great with the new battery. Thanks.

Tools included were not useable for installation, but I managed
I bought it for the battery, knowing from other reviewers that the tools didn't help with battery replacement. Watch Youtube videos to see what tools they use before starting your own install. Patience and perseverance...we'll see how long the battery lasts now, since my old one was running out in just a couple hours even when the phone said I had 50% left.

You can do it...
This review is for the replacement battery for my wife's ZTE 981 cellphone. The magnetic tools helped alot! Battery replaced original manufactured 9/2016, this 'new' one was manufactured 11/2016, that being said it works great. Hard to open phone first time because the use of double sided tape. Took me four times opening and closing up the cellphone to get it working because I left the touchpad unplugged. My bad - should have noticed. Replacing the battery saved us alot of money and best of all my wife thinks I can fix almost anything.
