Incredibly helpful, resourceful, reliable.
Personally, I like to explore many of avenues when speaking academics. If it involves reading, writing, research, or problem resolution I will most likely go down the rabbit's hole learning about it. Knowledge is power, and PMP Exam Prep by Darron Clark is quite powerful! In no way am I claiming to be an expert on PMP Exam Prep books or Project Management in general. With that being said, I do have a degree in Business Management. I have spent countless hours over the last couple weeks reading and researching Project Management Professionals resulting in my strong belief that my academic profession shares many of the same ideologies and carries a lot of similar responsibility.Long story short, I found myself asking the question: "What in the world is the PMP Exam?" The PMP Exam is the pinnacle of all Project Management Professionals, if I may. The PMP Exam requires knowledge and experience at the highest level. Those who have earned PMP Certification have a median salary that breaks the seven digit barrier–I'm talking millions. In comparison to the rest of the field, who do not meet the mark (in terms of median salary).Darron Clark's PMP Exam Prep is the go-to place for anything and everything you didn't know, need to know, and are going to want to know when learning about and especially when preparing for PMP certification? It contains a 500 question mock exam, scenario-based learning, long form questioning, and much more. Not to mention, PMP Exam dates. The list goes on and on.Great job, Darron.

Solid PMP Guide with unique examples
The example projects threw me off a bit when first reading through them, but soon made sense as examples for the project concepts being described. Overall this is a solid guidebook for covering off on pmp requirements and content. The sample tests are very useful. This is pretty much all you need to get through the exam.

disappointed
I bought the book because I confused it with an excellent book written by Rita Mulcahy,. Whereas Rita's book is a very good source of questions for preparing for PMI, Most of this book questions appear to be trivial and they don't reflect the type of questions actually given by PMI.

One of the most comprehensive books out there on PMP
In life, dealing with people is the hardest task. For every project management professional, managing people AND trying to get a job done takes patience, persistence, painstaking effort at times, but is met with pride when your team actually reaches its goal. To actually get to that stage is also a process that takes perseverance. The psychology needed to deal with people has to be measured. This book is one of the most comprehensive guides to help you reach that level. I’m not kidding. I’ve been a project manager for 20 years and I’ve seen many people try and fail at self-help writing books on the subject, but Darron Clark is one of the very few authors that can pull it off in a relatively easy to read, manageable system that allows someone to walk into an exam with confidence that they are going to pass with flying colors. His book, PMP Exam Prep is a bit expensive when you see the price on the Amazon list, but those who know the PMP profession will also realize that this is a very worthwhile purchase that will pay off in the long-run. Keep up the research and keep us in the PMP world updated to your new endeavors Darron!

A great confidence builder. Highly recommended.
I don’t often review non-fiction because, in most cases, its readership is limited to professionals in the area. That said, I worked extensively with project management and project managers while I was COO of an international affairs consultancy I helped found. In addition, I hold an MS in Management. So, this book attracted my attention. When introducing his exam preparation method, Darron Clark provides in his book one of the clearest professional surveys of project management I have ever read. His explanations are crystal clear, to be understood even by neophytes. He then introduces at least double the number of possible questions in the actual exam. The basic approach being that, to do well in a test, you need to practice the test. I personally have never taken the PMP exam. But, given the time and this guide, I would be confident to do well in the exam.

Exciting Project Management Plans
In his book, PMP Exam Prep:Fully Updated for the July 2020 Exam, Darron L. Clark teaches project management in a most interesting manner. For the project plan examples, the author uses three non-traditional albeit, exciting topics;Science of Racism, Infinite Energy and Earth Exodus. In each of these three project plans, Darron Clark guides you through the 49 project management processes, using case studies, for each of the three project plans. These project plans will guide and prep you thoroughly for the new PMP exam starting in July 2020.Darron Clark's PMP Exem Prep book will not only help you to be prepared to take the PMP test, his book will definitely make studying for the PMP exam much more exciting as is it did for me.

Don't buy
Full length test contains duplicate questions and incorrect information. The font is also strange and hard to read for one of the practice tests.
