Disney Holiday House Kit, Gingerbread, 27.5 Ounce (27.5 Ounce (2-Pack))

I ordered 2 of these kits so that each of my kids could build a house. They arrived, and both kits had broken gingerbread pieces. Not just cracked so we could ice them back together, but some were like crumbled to bits, especially in the front and back pieces. I ended up putting together the salvageable pieces from both kits to build one house. Also, the icing provided is not enough to build what is shown in the picture.

To my 2&3 year old, it doesn’t matter that the house turned out a mess, but as the parent helping them, the icing in this kit was AWFUL to work with. It wasn’t like real icing but almost a weird waxy play doh like texture and it wouldn’t stick good to the house. My husband was about to bust out real glue just to keep it all together but the one good thing about this kit is that it comes with little stands to hold up the gingerbread part. With how unworkable the icing was there was no way to recreate the picture on the box so we improvised and let my kids do whatever they wanted. They did love having the character pieces to play with while we built the house so that was a nice touch. But definitely will be buying something different next year.

Arrived in a 100 pieces.

The icing appeared old. Would not stick to house, flaked into small pieces. I had to roll icing in my hand to grt something to use for doors. It was a mess to work with and stressful. I would not recommend buying this product.

Very cute, but several of the gingerbread pieces arrived broken. I did my best to use icing to glue it back together but with the roof pieces didn’t work very well.

Unfortunately my gingerbread house ended up in the garabage both sides came crucked in half so i thought I will just put them together with the sugar that it comes. I managed to do that however when i tried to put up the roof it just didnt happen the plastics that come with it could hold the gingerbread it seemed like the bread was to thick. Wont be purchasing again.

All three boxes had all the pieces broken. There also isn’t that much candy to decorate with. I purchased since I’m not the best at making gingerbread house gingerbread - but I think I could have done this better.

If you have a little one with egg or peanut allergies, then check this product out. My kid’s school built gingerbread houses for an activity. As many gingerbread products contain both his allergens, it was a pain trying to find a product he could handle safely.He made his gingerbread house without incident. We bought another to build at home. Also, it taste pretty good.Read the ingredients first (you can find the product’s website on the web) but it worked for us.
