Awake

My 15 year old daughter turned me on to Natasha Preston books and while, at 35, I feel I’m a little old for her writing, I have enjoyed a couple of her books. After reading and thoroughly enjoying The Cellar and The Lost, I thought I’d give Awake a try as well! I had no idea it was about a cult...once I got into the book and that became apparent, I nearly put it down and gave up on it. But I kept reading and have to admit I’m glad I finished it. Interesting concept and I must admit I was entertained and truly looked forward to the ending. I think I would’ve appreciated it much more in my teen years but it was still worth a read. Passing onto my daughter next!

This is a good book for young readers. That being said I'm a little over that age bracket it so I found it a bit cheesy, for lack of a better word. The beginning especially, think Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight." That's not necessarily a bad thing I guess, but it just wasn't for me. The story has a pretty good basis, it's just somewhat unbelievable and childish at times. I would recommend it for teens though

I really enjoyed this book overall. It slows down on the middle but picked back up towards the ending.

This book was great! I started it on paperback but couldn’t put it down so got it on my kindle so I could read anytime I wanted-the characters and story line were very interesting. I wish they’d ended differently but understand that would have taken the book a different direction and who knows if it would have ever ended.

My daughter is so happy she is 13 and loves all of them has every single one and waiting on a new one awesome books!!!!!!!

What a mind blowing voyage! Takes a topic you "know" about and creates a heart stopping tale that you just can't put down. Good character development and an easy read.

The whole time I was reading this book I couldn't understand what was going on. I don't know if it was me not being able to get into the book or if it was just the style of the writing.

A start of the book was nice with heartwarming stuff but my god did the story get exciting! Two people falling in love but sinister places you were taken due to darkness of a cult pulling strings. Loved reading this, a totally different read for me and really enjoyed it!

Great book didn't think I'd enjoy this but in the end I loved it . Interesting read about a cult and two young people who fall for each other . Well written very impressed read it and hopefully enjoy it like I did.😄

Awake tells the story of Scarlett, who has no memory of her life prior to age 4, when she was involved in a fire. Then she meets Noah who shows an interest in her lost memory.The book was very well written and flowed really well. Of all of Natasha's books I wouldn't class this as a favourite as I feel she has written other books that I prefer.

It's alright don't feel the need to read the others on the story.Very tween teen story line. But not so bad I stopped reading I read to the end
