Works great to connect Aluminum to Copper wiring
Installed a new water heater and noticed that the cabling from my box was stranded aluminum and my water heater has copper leads. Someone had tried to pigtail the last water heater and put wire caps on it which were melted and the wires corroded. Kinda scary actually. Talked to my dad who has done commercial wiring and he said you never directly connect aluminum to copper and to get a connector/splicer. This thing easily handled the 8 gauge stranded aluminum wire and the smaller copper leads. Using an hex wrench to tighten down the screws to hold the wires firmly in place. Also, get some oxidation paste and just coat the wires. More the better. Aluminum likes to oxidize and the paste works great, bought it on Amazon for a few bucks. Hot water is good and no arcing/melting.

Not a real Morris product
Received a product that appears NOT to be a genuine Morris product. There is no morris part number stamped and the rating stamped on the product is AL7CU, not the AL9CU that it should be.

Works Well - Gets the job done!
I used this to splice a #2 and a #4 to a # 2/0. It worked like a charm. Got the job done, and saved me a lot of time and money. I'm ordering a few more to have on Hand!

exactly as described. fast shipping with tracking.
great product. Couldn't find any heavy gauge butt connectors that would reduce wire size, but, these worked perfect.
