Gorgeous
I love these carbon pencils. It’s difficult to get fine details, so I have to practice that, but I use it in conjunction with artgraf Tailor blocks (same company) on cotton paper. There are dense, pigmented and very black, turns into beautiful washes with water. Fun! used a little cold wax medium too.

Smooth and rich black matte lines, no scratchy texture
Just started experimenting with this Watersoluble carbon pencil. It has a wonderful combinations of qualities. When drew my first lines, it felt very similar to the texture of an oil based pencil, but with a tiny bit of tooth on occasion. It is so rich in pigment. A real deep matte black. It's fun to then use a watercolor brush to pull from the lines with water and see what it does. The one thing that convinced me to buy this, never having seen it before, was that it had the richness of charcoal but wrote smoothly on the paper. This pencil delivers that promise.I stay away from charcoal pencils because I can't stand the scratchy texture on paper. It unpleasant to me.But I love a deep, rich, matte black line. This carbon pencil delivers that so well, I'm really excited about its potentials in my artwork.Smooth, creamy, and rich matte black, no scratching. If those qualities appeal to you in a pencil, these are worth trying out.I'll put a couple of basic samples that I did in a sketchbook, which is not really sized for wet media, but I think it's sufficient enough to get the idea of the potential of this pencil.
