Would this be a good brush clearer as well or just a chopper?

Works as both, but clearing brushes takes a toll - it's fairly heavy.

How sharp is the blade when you first get it?

I believe it was fairly sharp on arrival, sharp enough for a machete, but not razor sharp or anything like that. I sharpened it further on my own. It is a high quality machete. With its heavy blade it performs very well.

The condor works well for small saplings and brush. Have used mine a lot and love it. The handle is great and helps to control the machete. Can't go wrong with it. Sharpens easily also

is it Full Tang all the way through the wooden handle

Its design is perfect. Yes its full tang high carbom steel with riveted wood handle. My favorite blade.
