I read the reviews about the Velcro not being substantial enough to stick securely when worn, I can understand if it’s to be worn over the sleeve of a jacket then it might too small, but it’s plenty big enough for the average wrist size when placed directly on the bare wrist..it is a well made bit of kit and after an incident a few days ago where this alarm would have been just the right deterrent to chase the potential attacker away, it was just quick thinking that got me to safety..It wasn’t even late, 5.45pm but perverted people are out to do harm every hour of every day..I feel So much more in control and won’t hesitate to use the alarm if I feel threatened again....So what I’m saying is I’ll set off the alarm first, then ask questions after..If the person means no harm to me then they will understand...Just another thought...Maybe it would be wise for the sellers to consider selling S/M/L/XL straps with a bigger grip piece of Velcro...I love my new alarm, I have other alarms but they are in my bag and pockets, what I realised a few days ago was that when you are in danger your limbs fells numb, your fingers won’t obey your brain and things happen so fast, fiddling to find the alarm in my pocket was just not happening quickly enough..I HONESTLY FEEL EVERY WOMAN WHO GO OUT FOR A RUN, WALK, OR JUST OUT WHEN DARKNESS FALLS SHOULD BUY ONE OF THESE BRILLIANT LITTLE GEMS ...VERY LOUD ALARM EASY TO ACCESS AWESOME 👏 ...

You can see my photos - I'm a woman with average woman petite wrists. It is quite big and chunky and very obvious which is a good deterrant. It's not uncomfortable and is a high quality product. definately people will see you wearing it - both criminals and regular traffic when running at night. But also some users will find it a bit bulky. The velcro fits small wrists like mines so would be fine for any girls age 13+When you buy it take out the plastic battery tab! I thought it wasn't working but the tab is hidden in the pocketHas a dim red led flashlight using the button. It's pretty dim but may scare guys. It will also be enough to help find the keyhole of your door.The case cannot remove to washThe alarm is extremely loud and piercingWhat I love also is the pull ring doesn't remove all the way out. It only pulls out a bit then clicks. So if it is off by accident you can easily fix it with no fumbling,and can reuse the device many times.Absolutely recommended for all lone females.

I do like this alarm. It was bought as I run early in the morning. I live in a quiet neighbourhood but the news made me think it couldn't hurt to have a personal alarm - especially now that I run when it is dark. It is very loud and I like that the ring doesn't pull all the way out - if activated by accident you can turn it off. It isn't reflective (except for the little label on the front) but very bright and visible when worn. I agree that the strap could do with being a bit longer to aid in wearing over bulkier clothing. For my use, it fits on my wrist over a sweatshirt quite easily and the velcro works just fine to keep it secure. The one real downside is that the actual strap material is not very robust, so not sure how long it will last when you take it on and off all the time. But I am very happy with it at the moment and certainly think it worth the money.

Size and ease of use are ideal. IF it worked properly. Cheap components and to make it work I have had to squeeze the plastic so must be something loose. But then when it does work its only about 80db not the 140db stated. (tested using professional sound testing equipment.) not ideal if to be used as a rape alarm as intended. Refund issued. Wanting to contact supplier to raise my concerns.

This has changed my runs and dog walks for the better - I don't feel like I need to alter my route as much as I'm not debating whether it's safe to leave the path or not to cut through forests (I'm not taking bigger risks, just feels like it gives me more freedom to choose)It fits happily on my wrist - at first I thought I would notice it more, but it really doesn't affect me.Super easy to use and super loud!Really pleased I bought this but really hope I never have to use it!

Works well, and is a good visible deterrent , easy to use without frantically searching for an alarm in your pocket, bag, etc. BUT, the strap is far too short. Maybe ok for the wrist of a summer jogger, but will not even fit over a glove, or anything but the thinnest of outerwear.If manufacturer wants a more diverse market, and cold weather use,the strap MUST BE LONGER. Wouldn't mind paying more for this. A really good idea which would be excellent with a little adaptation

This cuff is comfortable, hard wearing, practical, and a great visual deterrent being bright neon. The personal alarm is loud and is a must. Purchased for my daughters who would commute on foot to work. Paired with their location tracking on their mobiles made me feel slightly easier. Can be worn discreetly also if you wanted extended wear/use (under long sleeve or biz Jacket).
