I had to wet the leather and insert the gun (wrapped in a plastic bag) and this shrink it to better fit the gun
Fit was adequit to hold gun OK. But, I had to wet the leather and insert the gun (wrapped in a plastic bag) and this shrink it to better fit the gun.Inner side is rough enough to remove the blueing in short order. I sprayed (wetted) the leather with silicone which helped a little.I was a little inderwhelmed. Would I recommend it to another? Only with expressed reservations.Of course, this Markill holster doesn't compare with a Milt Sparks or a Mitch Rosen holster, but neither did it cost $150 to $250+ either!. But, that said, if one doesn't mind wetting it so it will shrink around the gun and the spare magazine (wrapped in a plastic bag),and then treat the leather with silicon salve/leather treatment conditioner, the end product will turn out quite nice - better than some generic holsters, for sure!I may buy another for another Ruger (bull barrel Mk-II 22/45) simply b/c I've not found another holster made for the 22/45s and this one can be wetted and re-molded to fit for a reasonable price! (I think I just talked myself into another one!)

Don't waste your money
I bought this for my MK-1. The leather is rock hard and brittle to the touch. The straps actually crack slightly when securing the firearm. The spare magazine holder strap is no better, except that it is a good inch from being able to be snapped closed over the magazine.

Used was brand new
I opted for the used one in acceptable condition, what got was a brand new holster. It what you expect from a value priced leather holster nothing fancy at all. It was ordered for 5 1/2 barrel but is long enough for 6 3/4 so it certainly fits my need. When I oiled it all the marks and imperfections in the leather showed up, as I knew they would from the description. So no surprises it is what it is a plinker holster . The inside is the rough side of the leather no surprises there, I am using a stainless pistol so no problem with blueing loss. I started to give them 3 stars but hey I knew what I was getting and the description was spot on. Changed to 5 stars. Would recommend this to friend sure no problem.

Hard Leather
When you order holster order bottle of shoe stretch. Spray holster real good with shoe stretch, put pistol and magazine in plastic bag slide in holster till holster dries. Will be a perfect fit to your pistol and magazine. This is a very good holster

Great quality, made in USA.
This is a real solid, well made holster. Reason for only four stars is due to the fact that the strap for the spare mag pouch is extremely tight. It would not reach to snap at first and I have been working with it to loosen it up.I would recommend this as a great buy for the quality and price.

Nice holder for the mark 4 Hunter.
Fits the Mark 4 Hunter very well. Little tight at first but loosens up with leather stretch. Front sight can catch some but with the long barrel that's expected. Color from the photo is off. Mine was very light to no dye.
