I love this playmat! My daughter is 7 months old and hasn't quite mastered sitting on her own yet and is also trying to crawl. I have hardwood floors, so this puzzle mat is perfect for protecting her head from the inevitable bumps along the way. She also loves all of the bright colors.I did notice a strong smell when I unzipped the bag, but the smell quickly dissipated and I haven't noticed it since then.There are 36 12"x12" puzzle pieces and 26 border pieces that can be arranged in many different ways to fit your space. There are 4 puzzle tiles for each of the 9 colors (red, orange, pink, yellow, purple, 2 shades of green, and 2 shades of blue), but my set only came with 5 different colors of border pieces and most of them were pink (10 pink, 6 red, 4 orange, 4 green, and 2 blue), so I thought that was a little odd. I don't use the borders, but if you do, don't expect to be able to match the colors of the tiles with the border pieces.The mat seems to be holding up well so far and it gets a lot of use daily. My daughter loves rolling around on the floor and I feel less anxious about her getting hurt now that I have this foam mat. I definitely recommend this playmat if you have a baby who is learning to sit and/or crawl.

So far, so good! We haven't had these for very long, so I will update if durability becomes an issue. But they are just what I was expecting from a foam mat. The pieces fit together perfectly, and the colors are bright without being gaudy. The main issue I have is that the edge pieces are random colors, mostly blue and green with one set of orange, one set of yellow, and one set of purple. However, it still looks fine, so I'm not taking away any stars for that even though my preference would have been to have at least one set of edge pieces for every color. But that's really just personal preference! This mat is very big for the price too (I believe I bought this for about 30 bucks)! So many other brands give you half the size for more money. I am putting a picture of how I have it set up, but there are even 3 color squares (12 total small squares) not included because I only have a pretty small space to work with until we get our playroom set up.

We bought this mat to put on the hardwood floor of our 9 month old son's room so he would have a comfortable place to play and it would be more padded as a landing spot as he is learning to crawl and walk. Overall, we were very happy with the mat and I'm considering buying another to expand the floor space the mat covers as he gets more curious and mobile.The things I like about the mat -1.) It's fun and brightly colored and captures his attention as he studies it as he's playing on the floor; and it looks cute for a kids play area.2.) It has edge pieces that surround the perimeter of the mat to give a more finished look.3.) It's configurable in any way you want so you can design it in different patterns. Also, the edge pieces will go on any side so you're not constrained at all in the layout.4.) It's relatively comfortable to sit and play on; we have it on a hardwood floor and as an adult I can crawl around on my hands and knees and it doesn't hurt.5.) It's a good size and a good price; for about $30 you have a place that covers about 6 x 6 which is much cheaper than an area rug and can be easily wiped clean versus carpeting (which is important with little kids!)The two things that I "dislike" are:1.) The edge pieces are too easy to get off, and my son is obsessed with pulling them off and chewing on them. I think if they were wider it would be harder for little hands to easily grab and pull off.2.) I wish the mat were a little thicker. While it's fine to sit and play on or crawl around, I think if it were an 1/8 of an inch or 1/4 inch thicker it would be much more comfortable for a longer period of time.It seems to be pretty durable; though we've only had it for about 2 months now so I can't say for sure.

I have ordered two sets of these they are supper great quality i have them outside on our screen room and i use it as area for our daughters small trampoline and slide and her outdoor toys to play on we also have two dogs and through the weather rain they get damp they are amazing! Super easy to wipe clean they are thick enough when she slides down the slide they protect her! We love love love them!!!UPDATE: 6-10-16We have had these for a quite a while now and i have to say these have held up pretty darn well! Some of the color is not as bright and clean but what can i say they have been outside on a screen room floor with three dogs and a toddler and they are still holding strong!! they are easily cleaner i usually just sweep them off and mop over them the perfect protection for a little one!! very satified!

We needed extra tiles with borders to add onto a pre-existing mat from another brand and these fit great! It works perfectly for our son to roll around without bonking his head onto the hardwood when playing. The colors are super vibrant and we used the extra tiles to make cubes which he likes as well. They didn't have a strong smell, but did feel a little dusty--I usually wipe his stuff down and Lysol it before the first use anyway. There are 4 tiles of each color, and 9 different colors: pink, purple, red, yellow, lime green, sea green, light blue, blue, and orange for anyone that's wondering because it doesn't look the same as the photo in the item description.

The lead time is high, but its worth the wait. Liked it.
