Informative and Inspirational
This book is an attractive, simple, and straight-forward compendium of how to chose, plant, grow a vast selection of peppers/chilies as well as, importantly, how to store, preserve and cook with this exciting genus. Difficult to find all these aspects in the same book.

Si no, solo usa internet.

A book "to die for" if you have any interest in CHILLIES!!!
A really lovely book,"RHS style" & nearly 30 chilli varieties are treated to a stunning close-up photo. Each is rated on the "infamous" Scoville Scale" & an individual profile covering origin, appearance.heat levels, sowing eg".'Habanero' can take a couple of weeks to germinate ,so be patient",growing, including rate of growth, height of mature plant & other varieties & cooking & eating. In a few lines Kay Maguire packs a wealth of relevant,& interesting info. Before arriving at this section of the book; & I confess to looking through the whole thing;which I do with all these kind of books,& as always stop to read anything that catches my eye.In the case of this book it soon began to feel like "family"as I was drawn in by so many fascinating facts & tips that it was almost like reading a novel.Although I've been growing chillies for quite a few years I learnt more about to do it properly & how to rectify mistakes that I hadn't realized I wasmaking. If I still lived in UK it's even a possibility that I might have tried a chilli fiesta or festival! See pages140&5 "Further Resources"& even thatis inspiring & you will find websites, books, seeds, plugs & plants & more. There is so much more in the book that I can only encourage you to buy it & if it's allowed, to quote from the foreword which is written by Sarah Wain. "For an experienced grower like myself,it's good to have a book with clear & positive growing tips & new ideas to embrace....It's a complete A-Z of chilli information..." As a PS Do NOT buy "Chili Madness" It's all in the spelling & "chili" or "chile" is an all American collection of similar recipes, most, with only 2 or 3 exceptions, usindg "ground beef" & different combinations of "chiles" that I'm sure most Brits will never have heard of,let alone be able to get hold of.Hope my enthusiasm shews & wait for my review on James Wong "Growing for flavour",also a RHS publication & this must be James at his very best! trust me.BAM. Full of very useful tips on growing from seed to preservi.
