Somewhate clear
Update: Wrestled a piece of the thick, white colored caulk away from the test blob and soaked in water for over a day, it did not disintegrate. But, it is sturdy. Summary of my little test, when the caulk is thick it stays white, thin caulk is a milky clear, it is paintable. Picking out caulk shouldn't be this difficult, but seems to be the case in the world of caulk. Reminds me of my beloved parents advise, honesty is the best policy, when people/companies do the right thing it makes decisions easier … dream on.Update: The caulk is still white where the caulk is thicker, not sure it will dry to a clear. It does allow for painting. Where the caulk is thinner it did dry to a clearer, somewhat milky color. We will see how it holds up to water. This the reason for the loss of one star.I ordered this caulk for it's alleged paintable properties and it goes on white and changes to clear when dry. The reviews on this product was all over the place, but the same condition exists with most other caulks. I hate redundancy so tested it first to see what the was up. I put a blob of caulk on cardboard, spread it out some with my wet finger. The next day noticed the places where the caulk was thick it was still white, but the top was "dry". The places where it was thinner, it was dry and almost clear, that is fine with me, want to paint it anyway. So I think when it is put on thick, the top layer dries, keeping air from getting to the wet caulk underneath to dry, therefore, it stays white. Equipped with the knowledge am going to apply the caulk, expect it will be paintable, but if not will up date this review.

Much Too Thick
The calk is very difficult to get out of the tube! It is so thick I had to squeeze with all my strength and I am not a small man. I cut the tip off three times to make the hole larger to try to make it easier. There is no way that this is normal so I suspect either a bad batch or old stock. I see from the other reviews that I am not the only one to experience this. I just installed it yesterday so it remains to be seen how well it works. I'll be going back to my old brand.

You call that clear???
I bought this caulk in all 3 colors. The white is fine basic cheap white caulk. The almond was too dark and looked dirty. I ended up removing it and buying "bisque" in another brand to caulk the cultured marble bathroom vanity tops. But the clear is TERRIBLE! I don't know why they even make it. I caulked the kitchen faucet well over a month ago. We carefully let it cure and dry. But every time the clear caulk gets wet, it changes back to white. Umm, why would anyone need that? I guess if you want silicone, you need to buy silicone. Lesson learned. I had envisioned this being easier to work with. Now I just need to remove it and start over again. Another weekend task that I am not looking forward to. So my happiness level with this cheap GE caulk, is that 1 out of 3 was satisfactory. The other 2 wasted my time and money. Whatever you do...don't buy the clear for any application that will come into contact with water.

Never Dried
I applied this around the back of my kitchen sink a month ago and it is still white. It is supposed to be clear when it dries so I guess it never dried. I tried using a fan and space heater but it didn't help.Another brand I bought locally that I put around the sink itself dried clear within a couple of days.

Does not ever dry and turns back white when wet
I applied this to my kitchen faucet and sink, and it took forever to dry. And I don’t think that it will ever dry. Whenever it gets wet, I see that it turns from clear back to white again. It makes my kitchen sink and $500 Delta faucet look like crap! This was a complete waste of money. Completely destroyed the look of my kitchen sink in my luxury condo.I am gonna have to buy a caulking that is silicone with none of this latex crap.Redoing the caulking is gonna be a lot of work. If this product was as advertised then I would have gotten the job done the first time.Piece of Crapppppp!

Don’t buy
I bought this product 5 years ago from HomeDepot and it worked perfectly. This time I bought it from Amazon hoping for same experience but it ends up being a total disaster. Just like many people complained here, this thing NEVER CURRE. I covered the sink for 1week before resuming water splashes but the caulk still goes white and crumbles. Seriously doubt this is a counterfeit!

the clear caulk turns white on areas that get wet.
the bath and kitchen caulk's main job is to block water. I called GE about the clear caulk turning white they said that they were aware of the problem and that it will stop about a week after installation. I gave up and replaced the caulk after waiting for 2 weeks with no change.

Not waterproof. Gets back to soft, stretchy and white when meets water
Don’t waste your money on the clear one. Absolutely unsatisfied.I applied it to seal my kitchen sink and my expensive new faucet. It took 2 days to turn to semi-clear from white. I thought it needed more time to dry and turn total clear, so I didn’t use my sink and faucet for another week until it looked nice and clear.I was super excited to test it out on a Sunday. Tragedy happened. Whenever it was splashed or soaked with water, it got back to soft, white and stretchy, which means it could leak again... Very very very disappointed.
