it does better than others but it will fall or lean forward depending on what's in it and how it was packed

I was able to fit it! It just depends on how much you stuff in it - it was a tight fit for me, but it went.

Carry on - what size is rated for carry on in the overhead bin?

I use it all the time with my travel. Due to arthritis in my shoulder, I could no longer use my other backpack in the fast pace of an airport. I can't sling on and off without a flat surface to put it on back one arm at a time. Wheels also assist in me in putting in overhead bends in place. Very spacious and sturdy. This has been a lifesaver. Love it.
