I still use MiniDV and batteries for my model are hard to find. I recently filmed a concert that was 1 1/2 hours, with the flip screen open (drains the battery faster than the viewfinder) and I had at least 25% battery power left (probably more). That's just one battery. These are fresh and not old stock. Great value. If you have an old camera, I'd get these while you still can.

Great value, works great in my camera have had no problems. I don't take a ton of pictures, usually just use my camera for kid's concerts and event like that and battey life has never failed and I am confident it would last much longer.

Fits and works perfectly

These perform really well. I have these in my battery grip for my DSLR and have taken hundreds of pics so far and the battery level indicator is still at full. Given the price/performance ratio, i'm very happy with these third party batteries.

For some reason when I use this battery the flash charges slower than my other battery. If you don't use flash it's okay.

I had recently purchased a used Canon EOS Digital Rebel 300D that came with 2 batteries, but one of them is shot. This package was a great value! I have charged the batteries with 2 different chargers and have been using one of them for over a week for sporadic shooting. I have taken probably 150 shots with about 60% using the flash and the battery meter has not moved. I figure I will get at least 300-400 shots on a charge. I will update this review once I have a better count.

Excellent value considering what Canon brand batteries cost. Have had these for almost a year and they have not failed and hold a good charge.

i bought 2 batteries early 2014. I use them often and they still work like the day i got them.

I recently purchased these batteries for my Canon cameras. I had a dozen older batteries, some of which were quite weak. I am an electrical engineer so I set up a circuit to monitor battery voltage vs time while discharging through a precision 5 ohm resistor. I determined which of my batteries needed to be replaced. When I received these new batteries from Amazon.ca I tested all of them. They were all good, but did not last as long as my Canon brand batteries that were still functioning. I then set up a test to determine the true mAh capacity of these batteries. I also testes a still functioning Canon battery from 2008. The Canon battery was rated at 1300 mAh and tested at 1314 mAh. Impressive after 5 years. These aftermarket batteries are rated at 2000 mAh. I tested one and it came out at only 1096 mAh. So, the batteries are only about half of what they are advertised at. However, for under $10, they seem to still be a good deal compared to a BP-511A 1390 mAh Lithium Ion Battery Pack for $115 at Canon.ca. 5 stars for price and delivery. 2 stars off for false advertising.
