Too expensive for this ramens. Buy the 39$/5 box. That ine is much better.
The ramen is ok. But completely different from what the original is. You guys should pay mote 4$ and get the other box of this company which is cost 39$/5 bags in the box. It sell straight from the website of ichiran ramen. U can find the website. I found it on map.google.com then find ichiran ramen by brooklyn. Click on the pin then it show you the real ramen that taste just like they make ie fresh. Same thing which is 39$ there or amazon. Please dont buy this product. It tast like normal ramen and way too expensive 33$/5 regular bags. I wish i can return it. I ate one bag. 😭

Almost a good as eating at the actual restaurant
My first time eating a bowl of Ichiran tonkotsu ramen was in Kyoto two years ago, and it set a benchmark for my preference in ramen. They even sold these instant ramen at their shops, though I didn’t buy any at the time. Since I’ve haven’t had the chance to go back to Japan and found that I can get Ichiran instant ramen on amazon I decided to try it. I would have to say the broth is quite similar to the “recommended” option on the menu (you can tweak the broth to your preference) at the actual restaurant. The noodles are on par with better instant ramen out there, can’t complain about that (you’ll never get the same if compared to the actual ramen shop fresh made noodles and cooked then and there). So I whipped up a bowl and through in some chashu pork slices, soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, kikurage (wood ear mushrooms) and it was very close instant version of Ichiran’s ramen. I would definitely recommend you make it with toppings and don’t eat it just buy itself. You miss out on all the flavors that mingle that adds depth to the broth and noodles, just like in an actual ramen shop.

Clearly some people are getting a different product based on the reviews
Clearly some people are getting a different product based on the reviews, I've never eaten at Ichiran, even when going to Japan. I preferred somewhere a little more local and not a chain, same when I go up to NYC. That being said, in my opinion this is so far the best instant ramen that I've had. The texture of the noodles is great, the flavoring is nice, and even though I normally don't eat my Tonkotsu spicy the spice packet is actually quite tasty as well. I do add some Chashu (store bought) and a Ajitsuke Tamago (home made), and it greatly enhances the quality, and honestly I don't think I would turn my nose up at this if it were served at a local spot in my town.My only criticism with the ramen, and this was something that I've noticed going around the country, and even in Japan for that matter, the level of richness (fatback) is a little lower than I would want. I would love the "fat" packet to be larger so you could adjust the level of richness a bit more. That being said, not a deal breaker, and easily 5 stars for instant ramen.

EXPENSIVE AND TASTE HORRIBLE
Do not be fooled by the name and all these positive ratings. These instant noodle tastes almost exactly like the ones you can get in supermarket for 0.2 a pack.Yet they are charging an arm and a leg for it.It is NOTHING like the ones you eat in Ichiran. If you like Ichiran, go to the store to eat it, not these junks.Whoever said this tastes good must not know what good fresh ramen is like....heck, whoever said this tastes good must be used to cup-o-noodle. even cup-o-noodle japan version tastes better than these junk. Low Quality bad tasting MSG instant noodle. GROSS! RIP OFF

Truly authentic and delicious Ichiran ramen!
This delicious ramen is unique to the Fukuoka Ichiran shop in Japan, with curly noodles and a separate rich packet of liquid pork bone broth flavoring in the kit. You make it in a pot, cook the noodles to your firmness and liking, then add the soup and seasonings. The signature red pepper powder is added to adjust the spiciness to your liking after you assemble the bowl. Add your favorite toppings like green onion, menma, sprouts, chashu pork, and ajitama to make it a truly restaurant-quality experience! A little expensive, but its quality makes it WORTH EVERY PENNY. Five individual servings.

Disappointing.
The noodles are fine and the hot flavor packet was lovely. It was a totally acceptable bowl of ramen but not for the cost. I've eaten at ichiran in NYC and this was nothing like our experience. I would pick up the nongshim tonkotsu ramen bowls instead and get a high quality hot oil to add. A poached egg, some rehydrated Wakame and pickled ginger really elevates the experience.I absolutely believe that others had a positive experience, I am just super disappointed in the product that I recieved.

Disgusting
We had high hopes for this ramen after watching some videos of reviews in Japan. You get 5 packs for $37, so it is expensive, but imported. The noodles are not thin straight noodles, they are just like the $1 ramen you find at the dollar store. That was not the worst part though. The packet with the letter ‘B’ on it had a putrid odor. It was supposed to be fat. I was so disgusted that the whole thing went directly into the garbage. Do not buy this crap.

Not for me.
Giving this 3 stars, even though the flavor is 1 or 2 for me, because I don't think it has to do with the inherent quality of the product. It's just the deep flavor of the broth isn't to my taste. I've been to some high-quality Japanese restaurants that specialize in ramen, and this type of flavor is similar to varieties served there. Lots of people with great taste love this stuff, just not me.
