UCOOL - Body Cooling Band, Lower Body Temperature with Natural Cooling Technology

The idea makes sense, but its doesn't work all that well. The idea being that absorbent material holds water, which then cools off a metal strip that touches your neck. However, your own body heat will quickly warm that metal strip up, rendering it useless (imagine what happens when you lay down on a cold pillow. After a few minutes, the pillow becomes hot, right?) So the instructions say that when it gets warm, to take it off and shake it (i.e. the motion of waving it around will cool it back off). Which, it does cool it back off again... but 5 minutes later its back to being warm/hot . So I guess, buy this if you want to remove things from your neck every 5 minutes and wave it around like a crazy person. Also, things like 'works well in a breeze' or 'near a fan' is ridiculous. Its like saying something will keep your drink cold... but would be even better if you had a cooler full of ice nearby. YEAH NO DUH.I wouldn't trust the GUSHING reviews, especially ones saying to buy 5. That's just obvious and if they aren't fake, they must be using this device while working in a walk-in freezer.Overall its cheap and we don't care. Just wanted to test it out and its pretty much exactly what we expected. We are going to experiment with soaking it and sticking it in a freezer, but this is one of those things that will eventually be sitting at the bottom of drawer one day where you find it and wonder "why haven't i tossed this thing in the trash a long time ago?"

It is a good idea. Doesn't quite cool you down as much as you'd like. Its a quality built item. The metal bands on the inside that are against your neck make me worry that I will get acne or something. I work construction so to me that is a problem. I would think it would work great on the beach or a hike. For what I use it for I would say not worth the 20 bucks.

This does feel cool but the shape is awkward and uncomfortable. Also, it drips.

So if your hairy, no neck, worried about image, acne issues. Don’t buy it. But according to the working folk it seems to work. If you understand how it works. Heat goes to cold always. I’m in a swamp cooled shop with fans blowing. As long as there is a breeze your good. It’s not junk, just have to know how to use it. Put it on and sit in front of a fan anywhere, any condition. Airflow is the key. Forty four stars.

Hurts when you wear it, can't turn my head. I can't wear it at work if I can't turn my head. Only good for mowing the lawn.

size is too large for me, need more sizes,, requires water constantly

Restricts neck motion. Shift, uncomfortable as ble. I rather wet handkerchief wrap around neck

Horrible!! Not useful at all.
