High quality but expendable
These earbud tips work really well as a replacement for the WF-1000XM4 stock tips, but you should expect to replace them somewhat frequently. Because of this, it is a much better choice to buy a 3-pack of a single size than to get the assorted pack. Pros: - They provide almost perfect noise isolation in combination with the ANC. - They are very comfortable and I can keep them in for hours on end. - They don't slip out. - The barrier keeps earwax out of the actual earbuds without affecting the sound quality. Cons: - They wear out over time and will need to be replaced. A pack of 3 pairs can last me about four to six months. - Noise cancellation will worsen the longer you go without replacing them. Edit: my most recent set lasted me quite a bit longer (just under 6 months), I feel like this is satisfactory so I've updated my review accordingly

Great fit.
I ordered the pack of comply tips for my Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds. 6 tips in all in 3 different sizes. My ear canals are two different sizes which is why I purchased the multi-pack. The tips I was using were a little too big for one ear and a lot too big for the other. This meant that they were uncomfortable, and I never really got a good seal. This is a big deal, especially if you want to use them on a motorcycle for their noise suppression, or on a riding lawnmower. I found that when riding on the mower I had to put my noise blocking headphones over the earbuds to get much noise suppression at all. And when on the bike, the helmet will knock the earbuds out of place, and you have to then try to work your hand between your helmet and your ears to press them in. Not a good situation. The comply tips solved a lot of problems. I found that if I wore the small tip in one ear and the medium in the other that they worked well, and that I could wear them for hours without any discomfort, and they retain their seal. The key to a good seal is to squeeze the tip before you insert it in your ear. Once in the canal it will expand and seal. Today I used my leaf blower for around 90 minutes, and was listening to podcasts and music as I worked. I continued to wear them until it was time to recharge the battery on my earbuds which was a period of several hours. These comply tips made a HUGE difference, and created the seal I needed for the Sony noise suppression to kick in. Do I like these? Yes, a LOT. Do they affect the frequency response of my buds. Maybe... If so, just a tad on the high end perhaps... but I'm not sure. The sound I got was certainly acceptable across the spectrum, even with the leaf blower. The good seal kept me from having to crank up the volume on the Sony's in order to hear the podcast which I always had to do before. The lower volume level needed to create a quality sound when using a leaf blower, or riding a mower, or riding your motorcycle is a lot more healthy for your ears. Bottom Line: Would I buy them again? Yes sir. No doubt.

Comfortable, mostly stays in, has filter, breaks fast
They're more comfortable than the silicon ones and have a filter in them. I've dropped my earbuds into the sink while doing dishes and in the shower and I attribute their aliveness to the filters. They fall out sometimes, probably because I have the wrong size. Who knows. The biggest downsize is that they break incredibly fast. I buy a 3 pack every 8-12 months.

Reasonable quality tips that should either be cheaper or last longer
I've been using Comply tips for years, starting with a few sets of Shure monitors and more recently with several generations of Sony WF-1000XM. I usually wear earbuds for 2-3 of hours a day; some days a few more and others not at all. The smalls are a perfect fit for me. On the day they're installed, they're comfortable and sound great, with clear highs and tight bass. They also isolate outside noise exceptionally well after expanding over ~30 seconds following insertion. They continue to perform that way for 3-4 weeks, after which it becomes apparent they're wearing out. They expand more quickly after being compressed making them more difficult to insert, the sound lacks power in low frequencies, and the isolation begins to fail. I can usually deal with the continued decline in performance for another 2 weeks, after which they have to be replaced. One particular set I must have used too long, because at about the 8 week mark, I noticed the tip had ripped away from it's rubber gasket on its way out of my ear. It was still attached, but with any more resistance it'd have broken off in my ear and been difficult to get out. Update Nov. 2024: Came back to buy another set and they're now asking $8 more. At 6 weeks average use, that's $75 a year on earbud tips, so my quest for something better has begun.

Far Superior to the OEM Tips on the Sony XM4 & XM5
The Comply Foam Eartips are a revelation in the realm of earphone accessories, especially when paired with the Sony WF-1000XM4. These tips are a game-changer, offering a myriad of benefits that transform the listening experience. Firstly, their superior isolation capability deserves applause. They create a snug, almost custom-like fit, effectively sealing off external noise, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in your music without any disruptions. This enhancement in isolation significantly contributes to an elevated level of clarity and detail in audio playback. It's like stepping into a cocoon of sound where every nuance becomes vivid and pronounced. The performance boost is tangible. The Comply Foam Eartips act as acoustic enhancers, subtly fine-tuning the sound profile, delivering an impeccably balanced audio output across frequencies. The lows are richer, the mids more defined, and the highs crisp and clear, allowing you to truly appreciate the depth and intricacies of your favorite tracks. One of the most remarkable aspects is their unobtrusive nature. Despite their incredible performance, these eartips remain comfortable for extended listening sessions. They mold seamlessly to the ear canal, providing a secure yet gentle fit that doesn't cause any discomfort, even after hours of continuous use. Their ability to stay cool and dry under regular use is a testament to their thoughtful design. Moreover, their ease of maintenance is a huge plus. Cleaning is a breeze, and they even tolerate light alcohol use for sanitization, unlike the OEM tips that suffer structural breakdown when exposed to alcohol. This durability and resilience ensure a prolonged lifespan, making them a reliable and long-term investment for your audio gear. In essence, the Comply Foam Eartips are not just an accessory; they're an indispensable upgrade for the Sony WF-1000XM4, enhancing every aspect of the listening experience while prioritizing comfort, durability, and hygiene. They are, without a doubt, a must-have for any audiophile seeking to optimize their earphones to their fullest potential.

Used on Jabra Elite 10
Tested 4 different aftermarket ear tips with the Jabra Elite 10 based on suggestions found via googlefu along with a DIY modification of the tips it came with, with the main goals being: - more comfort for maximum wearing time - better passive sound blocking - finding a good fit for my right ear which fell between default sizes the Jabra came with Jabra eartip sizes that fit me best were Large (left) and between Large and Extra-large (right). All of the tips sizes I tested matched the same size as the Jabra tips, with the one exception noted below. I had no issues with any of the tips not fitting the charging case. * Jabra default eartips with DIY foam donut (Can find instructions on google, basically just a foam earplug cut to size, punched a hole in the middle of and slipped over the eartip stem) Improved the passive sound blocking over the eartip without the foam. Made them feel a bit firmer in the ear. The disposable foam ear plugs I hand on hand to use (Flents Protechs Quiet Please NRR29) do wear out and need changed every few weeks or so, so a bit less convenient. * Sedna Earfit Max Azla for TWS Was about the same as the tips Jabra came with, no real difference. * Sedna Earfit Max Azla Standard Needed to go down one size to medium, due to the deeper fit. No real difference from what Jabra came with. Combining them with the DIY foam donuts made them less comfortable. * Spinfit Again not much to comment on here over the tips Jabra came with. The left ear did ok comboed with the foam donuts but the right ear (the between sizes) was not comfortable. * Comply Truegrip Pro The only foam tips I tested of the bunch. They passively block out about as much noise as the Jabra tips with foam donut combo did, but were more comfortable. This was the only tip that really felt comfortable for my between-sizes right ear for long wearing. They do pick up earwax very easily so need daily wipe-downs with a damp cloth to keep clean, and they’re only supposed to last 3 months of wearing before they need replaced. They are still foam after all. I ended up keeping the Comply set for my right ear, and use the Jabra tip with foam donut for my left. What you’re looking for in tips may be different from what I needed so your picks may end up different. As far as the best ANC sound blockage, Bose wins by a large margin but were far too uncomfortable for long wear time, and it couldn’t be solved by changing tips/ wings. Jabra was the next best for the low-frequency sound out of what I tried, which is why I went with trying to find better tips for it.

People aren't kidding when they say these are fragile and wear out or break quickly
The foam tips seem to function pretty well. At least, until they fall apart or deteriorate. And that's something which happens remarkably quickly, even if you handle them with great care. I tried my first pair, and 2–3 weeks in, one of them just kinda started to completely disintegrate. The outer foam part entirely separated itself from the more rigid inner cylindrical piece. (See other reviews for photos showing what this looks like.) Then I started using a second pair from the pack, hoping that things would go better this time. But nope. Maybe 2–3 weeks, tops, and one of them is already tearing and falling apart. It's really disappointing. The cost of these things is just not at all worth their extreme level of fragility. And even when you handle them exactly as directed (which is very, very strict), they still fall apart faster than the manufacturer purports. I wish I'd taken advantage of the 30-day return window. I only persisted because I figured surely I must be doing something wrong, surely it must have been my fault, and the second pair would surely fare better. But nope.

Buyer beware, review of product Nov 2022
This is a consumable product that wears over time. Nothing unexpected here yet. Over the last two years, I have ordered two kits of Comply earbuds as I am a heavy user, I used them pretty much every day, and the sound, comfort, and isolation were excellent. I always ordered order the Large size as the Medium size fit loose in my ear canal. But, this last time, as of November 2022, it seems the reduced size of the earbuds, and now the same size I have ordered for the last two years, are evidently smaller. As you can see in the pictures, the "new" model is smaller when seen on the headphones or loose on a table. I am not cherry-picking here; they are clearly smaller. And the problem, the isolation is not as it used to be, and I have to introduce them deeper in my ear canals to reach better isolation, which causes some pain and makes to feel the earphones lose on my ears. A second issue is that the old version fit perfectly the XM3 and XM4 earbuds, but this new version does not attach perfectly tight; this is minor, but it was commented on here in the reviews. Unfortunately, the warranty states they cannot be replaced whether the package was either open or the foam used. So stuck in here with a large size which is smaller than before. This is why I decide to review this product to draw the attention of users and the manufacturer.

Finally WF-1000XM5 top notch
For the past two years I’ve been using my Sony WF-1000XM5 extensively. Fantastic sound, but they have never been comfortable for me to wear, and the noise isolation has been really poor despite supposedly being among the best on the market. I was really disappointed but I kept thinking it was my ears that didn't fit and that were the problem, since these earbuds are considered some of the most popular, best, and most expensive. Now I’ve been trying these Comply for a while, and the difference is like night and day, soft and comfortable in my ears, and I finally have good noise isolation.

Fit and Comfort
The Comply Foam Ear Tips for my Sony WF-1000XM5 are excellent. They fit perfectly and do not detach easily. I hope they will last a long time. The sounds are much clearer and louder since it is foam. They are worth buying though expensive.

Perfect fit
Using the eartips for my WF 1000 XM5. The fit much better than the ones shipped by Sony.

Improves noise-cancelling and fitting
I have bought those for three different types of earbuds now: Sony, Apple, Bose. I’d describe them as ‘essential’. The rubber tips that tend to come with those earbuds are… acceptable. The foam makes huge difference when used as recommended. The Sony version I am reviewing made the difference between the earbuds staying in my ears vs not quite. Shame there’s no XL version. But I can’t complain about a product that doesn’t exist. L is good enough, it just could be even better, apparently I have extra large ear canals. Anyway, 100% recommended if you need noise cancelling and your earbuds don’t seem to do the job well enough – the TrueGrip tips will magically make the earbuds better.
