John Christian Men's Fleece Robe Blue Tartan

I am 6'1", 200 lbs, 42" chest, 35" waist (though I wear 33/30 pants). I got the Large Blue Flannel Fleece Robe by John Christian. This thing fits me better than I thought it would. It is very soft and warm and look forward to having it, hopefully for years. It ends about 6" below my knees which is perfect. The sleeves are just right in length and the pockets are below the waist belt. I saw some reviews saying the waist belt got in the way of the pockets. Not for me. My favorite color is blue. I was at first searching for a classic red/black flannel robe, but this one is perfectly my style! Overall, a great value and feels like one of my better amazon orders, with a decent price.

I just got this robe today and couldn't be happier...I'm a fat guy, not big, not plus sized, but fat!. A 46" waist that sometimes has a hard time with robes, shirts, etc, getting past the gut. This is one of the very few times I have gotten a robe online without trying it on that has been a complete success...Bathrobes are something that most of us want plenty of room to wrap ourselves in, not just get it around us. I purposely ordered the XXL for I figured it would give me plenty of room for wrapping it around my waist, which it does. As a matter of fact there is more than enough. My biggest worry was that everything else on the robe would be super big and it wouldn't work for me. But with the exception of the sleeves being a little long that I can live with, this robe doesn't hang off the shoulders, or go all the way to the floor either. It ends just below the knees and is perfect. As for the quality of this robe, I love its looks of being just a plain old fashioned robe, and, the thickness on it very acceptable. I don't care anything about being fashionable, and just enjoy something that is comfortable and works. This old style blue tartan is perfect for me, and although thickness is relative to everyone's taste, this is certainly not a thin material robe. Its of a nice thickness and very warm...In conclusion, this robe is very warm, fits well, looks like a robe which is all I care about, and just the right thickness for me. I work from home and wear something like this pretty much all year round. But especially in the winter. The price on it is very reasonable compared to some of the outlandish prices on some of the more stylish ones and I highly recommend it...

I bought this robe as a little gift to my husband because the robe he's been wearing for the past 25 years finally kicked the bucket. (although I'm pretty sure he would have gladly worn it for several more years even though it was literally falling apart) I chose this John Christian robe because of the good reviews and the reasonable price, and I love wearing fleece myself since it keeps me feeling cozy and warm. Fleece is great to wear in a drafty house.The blue tartan fabric is subtle, handsome and very pleasing to the eye. The thickness of the fabric is perfect. When I say perfect I mean not too thin and not real bulky. The Medium robe fits him as if it were tailored for him. He's about 5'7" tall and weighs 160. Length and arm length are good on him with not too much bulk in the waist like some robes of this type. It washed up beautifully on lukewarm water (I turn it inside out) with a little fabric softener. The robe dries in no time unlike heavier terry cloth robes, which is a real plus. There was no pilling. It feels even more luxurious after washing.Although it's time to say goodbye to his old faithful friend of many years, my husband is really loving this new fleece robe and keeps thanking me for getting it for him. You just can't go wrong with this robe at this price. Very highly recommended, especially at this price. Excellent.

This robe is okay but it wasn't as nice as I'd hoped. While I like the color pattern, it looks a little more drab than the online pics. Also, the fit seems slightly awkward in a difficult to describe way, and just doesn't look that flattering. The fleece will definitely be warm in the winter, but this particular type of fleece is not the most soft and plush - it kind of has sort of a dense, non-breathable flannel-like feel to it, which I'm not a huge fan of. The size seems to barely fit my 6'1 frame; the sleeves barely reach my wrists and the robe goes down right about to my knees - I would prefer a little longer in both respects, especially if it shrinks at all in the wash, which I haven't confirmed yet. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, the belt is fairly flimsy and positioned oddly high above the waist. I'll probably keep this robe but I probably would have passed on buying it if I had seen it in person at a store.

Nice robe for the price. Absolutely does not shed or bleed in washer/dryer. Cozy without being flimsy. My picky husband likes it! The XL is roomy but not too big for him at 6"1' and 215 lbs.Just wish it was made in USA instead of China - I would pay more for that. I couldn't find any robes like this made in USA. I also wish Amazon would let me filter by country of origin.

I bought this for my husband because he wanted a robe. I surprised him with it and was hoping he would like it. He now uses this every day and said he loves it. He said it was something nicer than he would have bought for himself. I really liked the quality of the robe. It's a good price so I was hoping the reviews were right and they were. There is only one thing that could be improved upon. He is 6' 1" and said the belt loops are not at his waist. It needs to be lower and the pockets lower too. He body is longer than the way this robe is so he takes the belt out of the loops and wears it lower. I might try and move the loops down. He will just have to deal with the pockets.

Nice tartan colour. Other half is well built and XL fitted him really well. Perhaps not quite as luxurious as I would have expected but a nice product nonetheless
