Very Impressive!
This wide-format printer is truly impressive! I was a bit intimidated at first by the size and presumed complexity of this machine, but once I uncrated and got it up and running, I was really happy with the simple user interface. The screen quite literally tells you every step to take in order to load paper sheets or rolls. The print quality is amazing, and the retailer was good enough to send along a few rolls of sample print media so I could try out the varying ranges of paper. This comes with the first set of ink cartridges (which one would expect), but it is more of a "sample" size. So far I've gotten really great use out of this without running low on ink, but depending on use, it might be smart to just order a set of backup cartridges with the printer. As stated in other reviews, this is a very large printer! It is approximately 38 inches wide, 20 inches tall and 28 inches deep. It worked with my Mac without any trouble. Perhaps one of the most difficult parts of the first several uses was choosing the appropriate print setting configuration from the drop down menu in my Photoshop program. The print driver adds a ton of different options (since the printer is so versatile), and so it took little bit of trial and error to get the setting I wanted. The end result however, is absolutely worth the effort!

CES Is great, but CANON Sucks!!!!
First off, I am submitting a 4 star review so that I do not hurt the reputation of CES imaging. They are a fantastic company who have been working very hard to help me, when canon have been absolutely no help. I would buy from CES again, but not Canon! This machine is used in a Detroit business, and unfortunately this is our 3rd machine (most live about 1 1/4 years) so just out of warranty. This go round, I purchased the extended warranty believing I would be set for when this thing took a dump at 15 months. Well this one lasted 3 months.... and let me say my dealings with Canon have been HORRENDOUS. Lets just say, I feel like Ashton Kutcher is about to bust in saying I'm on PRANKED its been so bad.We purchased our plotter and it arrived 9/3/19, died 12/13/19. I promptly called customer support and was informed that techs would be out Tuesday 12/17. M. and G. from Pitney Bowes, the service techs, arrived on time and everything seemed to be going well. When they fired up the plotter it immediately started printing, which was strange as they had not done any work yet. So I called Canon and informed them of the situation and would they like for them to replace the parts since they had already sent them. The rep said no, but wanted me to replace the printhead since that was the error I was getting. Get it out, putting it back in when the maintenance tank fills and leaves us stranded til the part can arrive next day. Next day, 12/18/19, my printhead arrives but no maintenance tank! I call and it turns out the maintenance tank was showing ready to go but no one every "fired" it which I believe means processed for shipping. You can imagine my frustration.Friday rolls around, I finally get my maintenance tank. I put it in, as instructed by a Canon rep, and it proceeds to fill the maintenance tank again! Not only that but it turns out the reason for this is clogged nozzles, which would have been avoided if the parts that came in the first time were installed! The canon rep says that the 1st maint. tank was free, but the 2nd would be our cost. I proceed to inform them that what is the point of the warranty if we are responsible for the parts. Not only that, but the whole SET OF INK that was used to fill the new printhead... Idk if you've purchased ink for one of these before but in case you haven't, that's nearly $400, it might be even more!!! Half the price of a brand new plotter(well close)! After much deliberation on my end, I am able to talk to customer relations and they agree to send us a new maintenance tank and some ink to cover our cost. That was 12/20. Tuesday rolls around, I receive my new parts, which I had shipped to another location due to the fact that our shop was closed Christmas Eve. I received those just fine! On thursday I get a call from the tech at Pitney Bowes, and unfortunately the timing doesn't work so we reschedule for Friday. He calls me Friday stating he is in front of a home, which is a red flag to me as we own a big shop. It turns out Canon sent the tech to the same place the parts were shipped to, even though I told them multiple times that was not the right location. The location he went to was an hour north of our shop, and unfortunately they would have to send different techs due to location. I call Canon, raising hell and informing them of their incompetence, though I make it a point to tell them current tech that my frustration is towards their company and not them personally.Monday rolls around, 12/30 and I call Canon as I had no communication since Friday and it was getting later in the day - 10:00a.m. They inform me that the tech is coming that day to .... wait for it..... the same wrong location! Back to the location the parts were shipped! You can imagine my delight at this news. Well I let them have it big time. Told them we need a tech asap and that was the last I had heard from them til today, when I called again.I call CES Imaging informing them of my frustrations and Don&Greg are shocked at what I've been dealing with, but definitely understanding. They are eager to help me, as we both agree its better for both parties if we keep business in good standing and I don't leave a negative review of their company for CANONS SHORTCOMINGS. 12/31 Greg called me to inform me his canon rep was informed and they would be trying to get a tech to us today 1/2/20 - which is great because I have not heard from Canon! Not even an F.U.!Well it's 9:36 a.m. I called Canon and hour ago, they informed me they are aware of sservice for my shops locations (thank goodness) but inform me they don't see an actual apointment scheduled!!!! I Am BEYOND aggravated at this point! I promptly let them have it, yet again, but the Canon rep tells me he understands my frustrations and informs me hes going to escalate teh case.... Yeah not my first time hearing that. So i call CES and Don just informed me that their guy has talked to Canon and they are supposed to have a tech here today so I am HOPING its just Canon being turds still and their info being wrong.I really hope we get our plotter working today! This thing saves us a lot of money printing Architectural Dwg's, as outsourcing is easily over the price of one of these!!!This review is lengthy, I know, but a shorter version of the dealings I have had right now and I am hoping that if you've read this you stay away from Canon too!TL:DR - Canon SUCCKKKKKS, Don't buy Canon -CES Imaging are great! Buy something not Canon from them!

Our First In-House Arch D Color Drawing Printer
Our First In-House Arch D Color Drawing Printer. This unit exemplifies Japanese quality. And it was at a price that I could justify. It arrived much faster that expected (3 days??) and came in a big box that fit! Once unboxed, although it looks like a cyclotron it fit great on a large computer table I made years ago that was being underused. The initial set up was reasonable fast and easy due to clearly written instructions. We have always sent out printing and could only afford B&W drawings. Our plan is that big B&W print projects like 60 to 80 pages of black and white will go out. Our Canon IPF670 is intended to be for smaller printing jobs like 4 to 20 pages total and for where we want to add color to our drawings. We are adjusting our layout to add color to highlight important items.I wanted to keep my table and I did not want to pay $300+ for the stand so I plan to modify a rolling file frame to become a drawing catcher. The roll paper loading is easy. The control panel is clear and intuitive. On our first few runs we found that the printing of engineering drawings is fast and easy. I did a test image of a photo of my dog that proved the imaging capability though that is not our need at this time.It obviously takes 24"x150' bond rolls and thicker 24" 36# coated paper rolls. It looks like there would be room to fit a 24"x300' bond paper roll but I can not find that anywhere in print. Does anyone at Canon know?

All in all one horrendous experience and waste of time
Buyer beware. Cannon did not even have the courtesy to respond to my concerns. I followed all instructions, item would not print. I called in a computer technician and he-on the phone with Cannon-could not get it to print. Amazon advise me to contact Cannon before writing a review. I did-twice-but they have not responded. I had to hire two guys (50 bucks) to bring it up to my studio. I could not get it to print & so I called in a computer technician (268.00) to try to get it to print. He could not, not even with Cannon on the phone to assist. Now I have to repack this clunker, pay guys to get it down to street level and have it blocking our entranceway until it is picked up. All in all one horrendous experience and waste of time, energy & expenses.(Later)WOW! You won't believe this! I got a printer that I could not get to print. A computer guy from New York Computer Repairs came and he could not get it to print even with a technician from Cannon on the phone and I have to pay the postage to return it. We're taking several hundred pounds here.
