Gamakatsu Octopus Circle Hook

So far, so good! I'm a beginning fisherman and ended up with an assortment of these cooks. So far, they've performed well.

I caught plenty of bluegill & bullhead with these hooks. I gotta say, I really like Gamakatsu circle hooks. The only thing I DON'T like about them is the price. Unfortunately, you can 8-10 times as many of a only slightly lesser quality hook for the same price. If you're just gonna go out back & pond fish, you may want to be a little wiser with your money. But, when I buy my bigger hooks for my late summer - early fall Catfishing, I won't trust any other hook.

These are expensive but they are a high quality circle hook.I’ll continue to use this brand.

Basically the best hook ever invented. The inward pointing hook point sets itself in the side of the fishes mouth as it is swimming away 9/10 times. No hook set, let the fish take it and gradually apply or just set your drag kinda lose kinda tight and let the fish catch itself using a rod holder.

If you are a serious fisherman or fisherwoman, you know about Gamakatsu hooks. They are sharp, keep their shape and are designed by fishermen to help catch and land the big ones.

I catch, photo, and release and as been mentioned, these tend to corner mouth hook fish and getting the hook out is rarely if ever an ordeal. Less stress for me and the fish so I can get them back in the water. It also makes life easier if you are dealing with a toothy fish. They are very sharp and hold soft bait very well.These are my go to hooks.
