Does Derwent carry 72 count graphic drawing, professional graphitint and colored charchoal tints? I have only 24 count tins but would like more colors

Not an artist myself, buying these for 13 year olds who are pretty artistic. Prefer a 12 count set - which is a better range, hard, medium, or soft?

You need a combination of all ranges hard (H), medium (H, HB, B), and soft (B). Each for different effects. The 12 count Medium set has the best the range.

Are these the newer style as pictured or the old tins?

Which pencils are in the soft group?

Hello. Information from https://pencils.com/hb-graphite-grading-scale/ will be helpful in answering your question. "Look for a number (such as â2â â2-1/2â or â3â)... The higher the number the harder the writing core and the lighter the mark left on the paper...The second graphite grading scale is known as the HB scale... a pencil maker might use the letter âBâ to designate the blackness of the pencilâs mark, indicating a softer lead...HB grade about the middle of the scale is considered to be equivalent to a #2 pencil." Drawing pencil packages should indicate soft, medium or hard. Hope this helps. :)
