WeatherTech Extension for CupFone

Works great

If you dont have cup holders that come out from the dash this is almost essential. It brings my phone to the perfect eye level to glance over to check maps or waste videos while parked and waiting

The WeatherTech CupFone extension is great for cars whose cupholders are directly beneath the center dash (such as some newer model German cars), as using the CupFone without the extension can block access to certain buttons on the dash. Installation is quick, easy, and straightforward, and took no more than five minutes. The extension pieces, which are made from the same durable plastic as the CupFone, appear to be constructed well and are generally sturdy. As such, I didn't have any concerns about the extension arms snapping or breaking from general use, even when a heavier and larger phone such as the iPhone XS Max is docked. However, due to the inherent nature of plastic, the extension arm causes the docked phone to wobble noticeably when driving. Think of a bobblehead bobbling and you get an idea of how prominent the wobble can be. While I find this annoying, I am fortunate to have Apple CarPlay in my vehicle so I don't have to look at my phone too often when driving, so it's not a dealbreaker for me. But for those of you who need to look at your phone's screen constantly when driving (e.g., when using Google Maps), this is something that you should consider before purchasing it.

Needed this for my cuphone I ordered

When I put my water bottle in the car holder, it was difficult to access my phone, do I ordered this extention. No matter how tight I turn the screws, it is still shaky. I will probably replace the whole holder in the future.

Well constructed, easy to set up, and very stable. I installed it in the cupholder that is closer to the instrument panel and found that it was usable but a little too close and awkward. Ordered the extension, and it worked perfectly. I'd recommend you think about where you're going to use it and maybe avoid a second step to order the extension. Anyway, best iPhone holder I've found. Highly recommend. Mine is in a 2023 Toyota 4Runner Pro.

It does its job perfectly!!! Very easy to attached. Adjustable height to match your viewing desire. I would recommend this as part of your Cupfone holder.
