Catch ‘em all
Works well super sensitive screen. But overall better and brighter than the old version. Good for the people that go hard playing this game. Pokémon intake will go up x2.

Best Watch Around!!
Seen a lot of negative reviews on this item and was skeptical on purchasing this but after receiving I fell in love! Has a quick charge time works fantastic while I’m at work and while I’m unable to play but this thing comes in clutch catching me plenty of shinies! Don’t know why people hate this item so much have had this since Christmas and it works perfectly to this day!

Gotcha Evolve
Okay this is my third Gotcha evolve because I had trouble with the other two and had to get replacements. The first one I owned worked great until it came time to recharge it. This may have been a defect so luckily Amazon refunded me and I figured I would try again. Second one came in and I heard rattling inside and sure enough it would not charge so I opted for a replacement. My third one is in and now charging and paired so in about an hour it should be ready to go.Now here are things I noticed that can help you have a better experience with your evolve. First both sides of the watch band come off so if it’s not charging make sure you have the side with the silver contacts, this is the band opposite the turn on button. Make sure when you plug it in the contacts are on the same side as the contacts in the unit you are charging it in. I had mistakenly had the wrong band taken off and when I plugged it in my first thought was Uh Oh not again till I looked and did not see the contacts. Once I took the other band off there they were and it immediately stared charging when plugged in. When taking off the band make sure you do it at a 45 degree angle. The first time it is a little tight and harder to get off but after a few times it becomes much easier. Make sure you download the gotcha evolve app and that your Pokemon game is turned off. Once you have the app hold it near the evolve and turn on the evolve, it should immediately go into pairing mode ( I am running IOS but I would hope android is the same.) now after it pairs you can turn on the features you want through the evolve app. Once fully charged you should be set to go, open your Pokémon go game and turn on the Pokémon go plus button and let the evolve take care of the rest.I gave this 4 stars because I don’t like the design off the charging part, it feel cheap and doesn’t give you freedom as well as other’s. I do love how responsive the unit is and it’s much easier then the original gotcha. I also bought the case to clip in my belt loop so I do not have to wear it since it would probably get destroyed with the work I do.

Newer is not necessarily better...
I was excited to transition to the gotcha evolve when I lost my last gotcha. When I received it, I charged it (quick charge compared to previous model and there's a battery indicator so that was sweet. I was afraid I would break it when I pulled the band off. Bad design there...When I went out to catch some Pokémon I wished I never saw the evolve. If you switch to another app, it shuts the evolve off.If you brush the screen the evolve shuts off. I couldn't believe how sensitive it was!!!The only screen animation was steps, the main clock and when it connected to my phone. No catch or spin animation. I felt no vibration while wearing at all. I even had sitting on a table at one point and no vibration/noise.This takes longer to spin stops/gyms and to lock on to a Pokémon to catch (I honestly felt the catch rate was lower than the previous gotcha).I will be going back to the old model. This newer model is not worth it.

It worked really well while it did, got a dud. (UPDATE: Twice!)
I had an original go-tcha model from ~2017 that finally died, I got one of these and it was great for a few days, no connection issues or anything. The software seems to be updated now, it generally catches things and spins stops just a little faster than the originals. I got it in the mail on 6/16/23 and started using it same day. four days later on 6/20/23 it has a black screen, won't turn on when tapped or when plugged in. I'm returning and replacing it now.for some other thoughts on it, the charging is a little sketchy, I wouldn't recommend plugging it into a power bank or outlet plug by itself, but most little usb adapters and extenders have little prongs that lock onto it pretty well. I used a usb-c to usb-a adapter I already had that it sat in very securely the one time I charged it the first day. When I tried it in my power bank it would just fall right out. Like others say it's hard to get apart to charge,I'm going to assume I got a bad dud, since it shouldn't have died after just a couple days, I will be updating my review with my thoughts of the second one after a couple weeks.-UPDATE-Well, the replacement one worked for 22 days, and did the exact same thing. Just dead, no more turning on or charging I made sure to charge it exactly like the instructions want, I was always pretty careful with it. I wish I didn't like the form factor as much as I do, it's much better than the originals. But I think for now I'll look into alternatives before trying this model for a third time.

Catch 'em all!
This is by far one of my top 5 fav purchases from Amazon! It has made my pokemoning so much easier. Especially when I'm driving or a passenger and there are new stops to spin. I love it!

Awesome
This watch is great. I can "play" pokemon go automatically when I can't manually play especially at work.
