A Splendid Card, With Bags Of Room, For A Jolly Decent Price!
Upon ordering new phones, it's a habit of mine to shove a nice shiny new memory card in its designated slot. The rule for SD cards throughout history has been decreasing outlay for increasing storage space. And so the "new phone, new card" became a habit. The great thing about trawling Amazon for memory deals is that, in general, you'll find *something* tasty if you invest a bit of time. I would *always* recommend avoiding the really scary cheapo brands - the ones with wonky company names that say something like "Doohickey SD 1Tb - £35", or similar. I tend to sail with reliable brands such as SanDisk, Kingston, PNY, etc. And you can usually find one of them has a little discount going on if you look carefully. So this time it was the Kingston, with their Canvas Select Plus. It's very easy to get bogged down with tech specs, read/write speeds and the like. But the TL;DR short-form is - if you're going for a card to store all your old photos, home videos, highly embarrassing band rehearsals from the early 90s (and you really COULD have made it big, if Nirvana hadn't stolen your thunder), or like me, a flip ton of space for my lovely new phone to spread out and feel comfy - you really don't need to worry about all the techy stuff at all. You may wish to argue the point with me. That's fine. All this is my own opinion anyway, but bleeding edge performance is for ultra demanding tasks - high res video editing, quick-succession high resolution camera images, etc, etc. Your phone is going to be more than happy with a nice SD card like the Kingston Canvas Select Plus. I've had mine for almost a month, and my phone is enjoying the extra 256Gb of room, beefing up the on-board 64Gb of storage. Performance is excellent; my data is content and not corrupted at all, the data transfer is fast enough for me to not notice it, and all is quiet on the Western front. I am very happy with my purchase, and would heartily and confidently recommend them to family, friends, and all you lovely Amazonians looking for a jolly bargain. It comes with the converter thing, which is handy if you need to swap from, say, a phone slot to a laptop slot. But this was of no use to me - everything I do is WiFi, cable, and The Tooth of Blue. So we leave the little SD in place to do it's thang, possibly for the lifetime of me lovely sparkly new Moto. And there you have it happy readers. A fine SD card with oodles of space for everything at a more than reasonable price. Enjoy!

Good Low cost Memory Card, Good Brand
This was working great until my cheap tablet went faulty and died; sadly, it is no longer recognised by any OS. But that aside, when it was working, it did its job; it was a good, low-cost device, and I would recommend it. I would expect a Kingston device to last, and have always trusted their brand. So, despite its early demise ( no fault of Kingston ), I still give this a 5-star rating.

Not for big higher-than-CD quality music files
First, I must explain what I mean. I have a library of higher-than-CD bitrate/sampling rate music, mainly in FLAC at 24bit/96khz. Now my Fiio X3 2nd gen can just about handle them from this memory card, due to the only-just-makes-it-most-of-the-time read speed. Of course higher quality - and thus larger in bytes - files are more likely to hiccup or glitch (higher data rate), and although my Fiio can handle DSD files, their very large sizes mean they're a no-no with this card. Therefore, my recommendation is that for all MP3 files, and FLAC up to 24/48 quality will play fine (this covers all CD rips - these are my discs, which I have bought and still own, for my own personal use), but higher rate stuff may be problematic. There's nothing wrong with the card itself - it's a fine budget 128GB card - but it's not fast enough to guarantee playing the requirements of 24/96 or higher music - and by association this could also apply to good quality video (say 1080p/HD), but I don’t use microSD cards for that so have no data for you. Just for examples: I'm currently listening to T. Rex/Electric Warrior from this card at 24/96 and it's playing fine, but tbat could be due to the simpler music of T. Rex, or even just the age, or even possibly the location of the data in the card's memory map. However The Alan Parsons Project/Turn Of A Friendly Card had the occasional stutter at 24/96, and DSD (.dsf files) of the same album were too much. So, basically, you may be lucky, but if you’re only ripping CDs then there should be no problems whatsoever. I hope this helps, or even makes sense! I would buy this card again, but it would depend on intended use rather than an unconditional Handles Everything use, hence the four stars. It's not a premium card, just a budget card, and so long as you bear that in mind you'll probably have no regrets.
