Just-in-time Perfect Replacement!
We have all been there at some point in life or the other.. wherein one small mistake and a slip of your hands where your favorite food container which you loved and took care for so dearly falls to the ground breaking into million glass pieces! Guess what?.. same thing happened to me... I was disappointed, guilty about my mistake and spent better part of the morning cleaning up the kitchen floor. I was thinking about a replacement for my favorite food container and I looked up on Amazon and found the exact same product that I accidentally broke today morning. Wow! I am lucky! Also, saw it was very competitively priced compared to any local Brick and mortar nearby. What's there to lose? Placed the order... and thanks to Amazon same day shipping I was able to replace this 4-Cup Round Glass Food Storage Dish just in time before my wife arrived home.. How cool is that? Gotta love Amazon Prime Membership and the benefits it has to offer :-)Nice product. Perfect replacement. Love shopping on Amazon. Cheers!

I LOVE THESE!
I love these bowls so much that this is my third order. I use these bowls to freeze large batches of stews, soups and chili for my work lunches. I appreciate that I can put hot liquids directly in them without needing to wait for my entire pot of food to cool off. I can freeze these (once the food has cooled off a bit which is at a much faster rate once separated into smaller dishes like these) and throw it in my bag in the morning. I put them right in the microwave (I first remove the plastic lid and use a paper towel or glass plate for a cover in the microwave). These are very easy to rinse and stick in the microwave (I wouldn't put the plastic lid near the microwave heating elements though). They are also great for leftovers in the fridge or to hold remaining onions and other vegetables left over from a recipe.Anyway, I like using these glass dishes instead of plastic since research is finding that microwaving plastic is unsafe. These are very very convenient. You can never have too many of these.Cons: A bit expensive

Great Pyrex for Great Price!
These containers are great. The 4-cup capacity really is so versatile for leftovers, soups, and even salads to take to work with you (gotta leave room for those greens!). Also, for approximately $5/pop, the price really can't be beat. I generally love using Pyrex over plastic tupperware because the glass doesn't take on food smells or coloring, and it holds up better in the wash (so you can feel better that you aren't eating from yucky, morphed plastic). I knocked a star off because these Pyrex containers still have those darn plastic tops, which do wear down with use over time. From this set of four, one of our tops already has a tear around the edges, which makes it impossible to use for transporting something that could spill (instead, this container is now relegated to holding leftovers in the fridge). Otherwise, these babies are great!

Nice, as long as you don't need them water-tight
These are really high-quality containers, perfect size for taking a lunch like a sandwich, salad, or raw veggies/fruit. Something "dry", in other words.I bought these without really researching as much as I should have, and only realized after buying them that they were certainly NOT leak-proof. Well...they aren't advertised that way, either. Oh well...I can still use them for the aforementioned dry goods. In the end, they're glass, and I assume anyone buying these is buying glass containers to avoid plastics. These are glass, and if you're using dry goods in them, nothing will ever leech from the plastic lids either. If you don't need leak-proof, buy these; otherwise, you can upgrade to the Pyrex No Leak containers, which are the exact same glass part but with silicone/glass lids that ARE leak-proof. They're more expensive but not that much, and they have the advantage of being complete leak-proof and plastic-free.

Better than Plastic
I love the Pyrex storage dishes. My first Pyrex was a set I registered for when I got married. Despite having a large amount of plastic food containers, the Pyrex was always my first choice. For 2 years, my husband I had to place all of our belongings in storage including these Pyrex dishes. When we opened everything back up I realized how poor of condition all of my plastic containers were in, namely, even after intense scrubbing and multiple rounds through the dishwasher they still looked gross and I began to favor the few Pyrex dishes I had even more. For Christmas I ordered another set of Pyrex storage dishes but still found I was running out of this size frequently so I purchased two more from Amazon. I now use these solely for storing leftovers and love them. They keep food well in the fridge, they clean easily and they sparkle when they come out of the dishwasher. I really love these dishes and recommend them highly.

Great Storage Option, Lids Could Use Some Improvement
In our household we're trying to stay away from plastic storage containers. I love Pyrex as an option because it's so versatile. I can use one container to freeze, bake, store food, and then you can throw them in the dishwasher when you're done. These containers also stay scent free as the glass does not absorb any odors. There are a couple negatives with these containers -the lids are the reason I gave four stars. These lids are not as sturdy as they should be -over time they do crack. A smaller draw back is that these bowls do not nest or stack nicely.
