Coleman 5 Gallon Beverage Cooler

We purchased two of these for our catering business, to transport cold beverages to events and to hold the cold beverages behind the scenes. They work great, and are a great price. I purchased the orange because for some reason, this color is the least expensive, and these arent what we use for people to see. But actually, its a really nice orange and I can see using them for certain kid party themes. The lid seals tightly, the spout does not drip or leak at all. Very pleased.

I bought this for rather unconventional use....to brine turkey. If you have seen Thanksgiving special on Food Network Show a year ago or so, Alton Brown recommends using this style of cooler for brining turkey for Good Eats Roast Turkey recipe. We used it twice so far and this works really great. First for the Thanksgiving dinner, we used a 18lb turkey. This was a snug fit and brined just the way it should. And second time in Christmas, we decided to have turkey again but this time, I got a little greedy and end up getting a 20lb turkey. Well, I think it was 20.67lb to be exact. To our surprise, this turkey managed to fit with a little squeeze. So, I cannot speak of how well this works as a beverage cooler, but as for brining turkey, this works great and keeps the turkey temperature spot on for 12-18hr brining period without any additional ice.

This is a great product. The lid screws on which is a huge advantage over the Igloo brand coolers. It keeps things cold very well. I read a lot of reviews about the spout leaking but mine didn't have that problem. Regardless, if the spout leaks it looks like a very simple fix - you can easily tighten the spout from the inside so I'm not sure what people are complaining about. Oh, an buy the orange version - it's the same thing but less expensive!!!

Love my Camelbak, but on a hot day, working outdoors, it just does not hold enough, so I ordered this. I can fill it 2/3rds of the way with ice, the rest of the way with water, and have ice-cold water for at least 3 days. I love that I can flop one of the rear seats down in the back of the truck and seat belt this thing in so it's accessible from the passenger side.

This is a great price for the product. However, there is a lot of leaking out of the spout, and it one came off very easy. This would be good for using for outdoor things, but if you need to use indoors, make sure that you have a towel or something on the floor or under the coolers to collect all the water that comes off of it.

My husband had been wanting one of these for a bit now. I finally purchased it in time for our last camping trip. OMG, it made water so accessible while camping and we didn't have to purchase plastic water bottles. We put about 3 gallons of water in it then topped it off with ice. The water stayed surprisingly cold even though it was sitting outside on the picnic table. We did have to add more ice because we were running out of water so fast. It was nice to stay perfectly hydrated while camping. Also it made for extra walking since we had to make more trips to the bathroom. Win-Win all around.

I bought it to provide cold water for my U11 soccer team and its been great. It would keep the water cold for hours even when left in the hot car. The nozzle on it is a bit different and it took some time for the girls to get used to. The lid screws on and its not very tight (it will leak if you fill it and try to carry by one handle) but its not a problem as long as you are aware of it. Make sure to wash it and air it out first to get the plastic smell out.

Perfect. Was able to easily swap out the plastic spout for a stainless tap spout. Easy conversion to a hot water tank for homebrew sparging.
