Does the trees justice.
I discovered the Fogo Super Premium as the top quality recommendation from my local BBQ store. What is there to love about it:- By far the biggest chunks of coal I've tried (Lazzari, Green Egg, binchotan etc...). About 10% of the bag are small chips, 30% around 4" across and the other 60% up to 8" diameter. This means that you can grill at stable temperatures and for longer than when burning small chips.- At 275'F in a covered grill, the half-life of the big chunks is about 10 hours. This means that you can grill for an entire 7 days uninterrupted using one 17.6 lb bag.- By far the best flavour among all coals I've tried (see above). By best I mean the most nuanced, beautiful, soft and least bitter/aggressive, but also the best universal match across diverse meats and vegetables.I only buy meat from happy animals. I'me sure this charcoal comes from happy trees.

Gives off high heat and great flavor
I have had a gas grill for so long due to the convenience of getting up to temp quickly and then shutting off with no worries. Some days I just like to grill with charcoal and FOGO brand works great. I had a small box of Japanese bintan charcoal that I have cherished but I was glad to find such high quality hardwood chunk at a very reasonable cost. It lights quickly, puts out tremendous heat, and does not spark or pop much at all. It imparts great flavor and the smell surely gets the neighbors drooling (and my dogs too.)

Dangerous
This charcoal basically acts like a sparkler on the 4th of July. I wasn't expecting that and can't really use it, given the risk of fire to nearby dry areas, not to mention burning my skin when a spark flies at me. Anyway, if you know how to use this type, go for it. If you expect a typical charcoal experience, this isn't for you.(Two stars for the entertainment factor.)

Stop here! Best charcoal!
These are substantial pieces of charcoal, not just a bag of small pieces. This makes it easier to build a nice pyramidal pile for your grill.I use this in my green egg, and will never buy another brand. Perfect charcoal, even burning, produces great flavor.

Proceed with confidence!!
Fantastic! Love this charcoal, this is the real deal pieces of charred wood not the crap compressed briquettes! It’s been properly dried and stored so you don’t get “pops” sending sparks flying from the moisture in the wood as it heats like so many others I’ve tried. Each bag contains a good 75% large pieces and the rest smaller pieces. I use this coal in both my Weber Pro and my Ooni Karu (I use a mix of this and kiln dried oak hardwood which gives me the temps I need for cooking pizza Naples style at 900F+!

Awesome
First thing, this is awesome lump charcol and that's what you'll get. There are no rocks or plastic mixed in like the cheaper products. I use the chimney starter with my Kamado grill and depending on how much I cook, the coals can go for hours. After the coals have cooled, some are still not thoroughly burned up so you can repeat their use. Advice on how to store, keep the bag in a rubbermaid container or something that will not let air or moisture in. If stored in a garage or shed, keep it off the floor. Recommended!

Really happy with this purchase
There are really big chunks of charcoal in these bags. 3.5" diameter by 8" long substantial pieces of charcoal. They produce good heat for awhile. The smell of the charcoal alone is amazing. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Decent Product
I like the price but dislike that it crackles when heating up. You need to keep the lid closed when it is getting hot or you could potentially get burned when it crackles and pops. Also, found a nice piece of rock in the bottom of the bag. This stuff isn't my favorite but worked well-enough on my Kamado Joe.
