Healing and Recovery Paperback – July 14, 2015

I loved to read this book. It really helped me understand so much deeper the connections between awareness, mind an body and how they work in the healing process. Also it is so important to notice also your belive system and all the levels of consiusness. I feel humble thankful to David R. Hawkins, that has written all this wisdom in this book. This information is so useful to everyone to know.

Wow. What a book. This ought to be required reading for those on the Path of Transformation into their true Selves. I'm not even finished with the book and its power is already handing me my Ego on a plate!! What can you say about a book that makes your inner kundalini start having labor contractions!Yes, we'll all experience the book from our current level of awareness, but already it's caused a profound series of realizations on core levels in me. I'd read some of this here and there, but before, just words."You will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free," on deeper and deeper levels here. The author was a spiritually-transformed psychiatrist. By this time in your life, hopefully you've discovered the Voice of your heart as a living part of you, separate from your mind, but if not, it will come soon, and with your wanting it to happen. Your heart's vibrations (with or without your knowing) will help you surrender to truths that your Ego doesn't want you to know, much less Surrender to.At a deep level, whenever we Surrender to a higher Truth and let go of a lower assumption we thought was true, the Ego is temporarily displaced from its throne (It's so sure IT knows everything). This can be very scary to it, and you will probably feel that fear in your body. That's okay. You are still Safe. It means You, the real You who lives eternally, are deciding, in that moment, to take control! Pretty Fabulous, isn't it? You can actually do it, experiencing your True identity, instead of stepping away from it. True Surrender will come out of your heart, not your mind.This book is powerful, like a diamond of truth and love through which pure Light may infuse you with higher realizations and deeper desire to Surrender all that you think is true, but is not. But what IS false gold, and what IS the real? This is the second book I have read from the author and it really has me stop and think of how my own negativity has made me sick for the past five years. I am changing my thought today.

This book was a blessing. I can’t believe I had never heard of this book or the other books in this series. It is so profound. So enlightening. My entire perspective was changed. It also helped me full understand some topics such a evil vs good and gods place in it all. Especially our own individual place in the grand picture of things. Thank you so much

This book has helped me on my internal journey. I always knew the body can heal itself but never grasp the concept of how. The author breaks it down sooo well. My two favorite chapters were Health and Aging. I am 62 years young and after reading about aging, I am able to mbrace it.I would have given the book 5 stars. I wish the author would have touched on what happens when you are at a higher energy level than your spouse/partner and how to handle it. If I am at 400 energy level and my spouse is below 200 - can a marriage/relationship survive or will there be constant conflict? Maybe that's why a lot of marriages/relationships fail due to different energy levels (one partner below 200 and the other above 300) and the one at a low energy level don't feel the need to change. Just my thoughts after reading the book.Overall, excellent book.

I found this book more supportive than I can say.I already knew, from reading other reviews here, that each chapter was a transcript of a stand-alone talk. So I read the chapters in order of relevance to me, not in chronological order.I started out thinking that just a handful of chapters would be relevant to me, but found that every single one of them had something useful to say to me.Although I've liked all seven of the Hawkins books I've read, this one has been of most practical value to me. It is a very accessible book, written in a more conversational tone, using the most everyday language of any of them.Ironically, this is the most recent Hawkins book that I've stumbled on. Once I'd read it, it struck me that I could have used it FIRST. However, I dare say my Self has its own excellent reasons for arranging events as it does.This is a very hopeful book that shares tools that the author himself has employed successfully in transcending challenging physical and emotional issues.I experienced immediate benefits from reading this gem.

All of David R, Hawkins books are based on consciousness research and have been useful in self help and discussed and lectured in universities and spiritual groups world wide. Worth the read.

Big fan of this iconic author. A wonderful and fascinating book. This man gave so much knowledge to us all, you just need an open mind. People have complained about repetition but I’d call it emphasis. Amazed people downgrade their reviews on such petty issues when overall this book is clearly valuable, practical and mind broadening.

PLease be aware of that when you purchase a Kindle Version of this book, it has a DRM attached to it, so you won't "own" the book, but only be able to loan it from Amazon for a certain amount of time!!!I am very disappointed about AMAZON's practice with kindle that does not allow you to safe and convert it to other formats, but can only be read with kindle device or software.Anyway, this book is a MUST HAVE for anybody interested in alternative healing practices in specific and in general in natural healing processes. It is clear, encouraging and well founded. D.R. Hawkins is digging deep into our body's self-healing capabilities and how one can re-activate such healing. His knowledge is founded by his own experiences and explained on his knowledge as a "traditional" doctor of medicine. This makes all of a difference, as the spiritual aspects are brought into context of physical processes in the body. In fact, D.R. Hawkins manages to connect both areas in a natural way, so that the reader can follow and grasp the enormous power we all have to heal ourselves.So it is a book full of wonders and perfect to reflect our view upon healing in general.
