Sidewinder 8TH ESC and 2200 KV Brushless Motor Combo

Converted a Traxxas T- maxx. It's a beast... thinks it's a plane now!

This was put into a highly modified Traxxas Rustler 2wd. My son then took it out to our local circle track and used it after working pit crew for his brother. A few people left in the stands got a kick out of it. While not the intended use... this motor screams!

Packaged very well. Included directions. Using this as an upgrade on my Typhon Mega. It includes a strong motor that runs cool on 4S and with a 8 tooth pinion over gear from stock (stock is 14, I am running 22) I have not ran this on 6S. It is perfect running 3S on my model. I picked this because I can run it and not worry about temps running 3S all day. I have broke a few other motors over heating because although the Typhon is a 1/8 buggy the motor and ESC are 1/10 scale sized. Upgraded to a true 1/8 scales power system.I have not played with the setting. Stock this combo has lots of power, runs very cool, perfect punch, and is responsive. I have no complaints. You do have to add connectors for your battery. If you don't have an iron, you will need one. The motor is rebuildable so you can clean and lube after you runs.

Over gear it because this motor can take it. Stock vxl-3s can barely handle 20/54 with 3s. This motor I run 21/50 on 6s and it barely warms up. And I increase the tire O.D. from 2.8 - 5.7. I can't even open it up all the way because I don't have enough space.

There is no power switch/button which stinks, only reason it's got 4 stars. Other than that, this setup is a beast. Got it in my talion and she flies now. Love it.

Would buy again

Product took long and not only did it take long but the motor is internally busted up!!! The rotor magnets is burnt and cracked!!!! I want my money back!!! Or send me a new one!!!!
