The is the finest thermostat available at any price. I have tried them all on my 383 small block Chevy engines. The Edelbrock "high flow" was rated at 180. It was made in China and opened at 160 degrees. The Mr Gasket balanced design, also made in China, a copy of the Robert Shaw balanced design. When tested in boiling water, it did not open evenly. It only opened on one side. The Flow Cooler "Robert Shaw" balanced. Country of origin unknown. The design is such that it does not maintain temp consistently and appears somewhat restrictive. The Superstat, made in Israel, is a quality piece, constructed from stainless steel. It is dead nuts accurate. I have the fans kick on at 195 in traffic. The engine will cool down to 178, at which point the thermostat closes. Plenty of flow and stays cool on the highway.

I bought this for my 1995 Jeep Wrangler because the heater wasn't getting above 120 degrees. I figured that the thermostat in my jeep was shot. I don't normally buy internal car parts for my jeep because it's hard to be sure if something will fit it without actually seeing the product in my hand. But since the price of this is hardly anything I took a chance that this would fit and would cure the heater problem. This did fit my jeep without any issues but the heater problem still persisted. The heater gets warm but doesn't get as hot as it used to in the past. My mechanic suggested that I get a thermostat that was maybe 190 degrees instead. I may try that. All in all this is a good quality product. I would buy Stant thermostats again.

Works as it should. I drilled a small hole on it to help with air bleeding.

Dropped this into my 2003 dodge Dakota without any issues. It's not the same as the OEM design but it seem to work just fine. I did drill a 1/16th hole to allow some coolant to weep through like the OEM design has and while it does not close the passage like the OEM does I have so far had zero issues. In fact my truck runs nice and cool and I live in Oklahoma and was able to make a trip out to Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Reno, across Nevada and Utah along Highway 50 to Denver and then back to the Oklahoma City area in June and July. It stayed nice and cool even in Phoenix's 120 degree heat one day while I was there. I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7l in it and also dropped the system pressure by 2 PSI from 18 to 16 which does lower the boiling point by a bit but everything has worked great. Truck runs great at 180 degrees.

Fit my 1995 K1500 perfectly and works great. However this is the 180 degree model. My pickup needs a 195 degree thermostat. My own mistake and happily purchasing the correct one I need.

HAVE NO PROBLEM RELYING ON THESE STANT THERMOSTATS.SUPER GOOD QUALITY FOR A GOOD PRICE AS WELL MADE IN USA.

Worked fine was actually a motorad thermostat in a stant box but it was cheap and it fit
