Not Exactly A Good Move
05/12/2019 (First Report)I purchased two of these and had high expectations of them, that sad to say was short lived.First the good things, the remote connects easily and does not require he aerial extended to operate, on/off works just fine, after that, well read on. One of the controls does not appear to have a battery with it, may have dropped out but no sign of it where i unpacked them. The luminaires arrived at the same time, one has a piece of plastic behind the lens (picture 3), no way to remove it as the lens has been sealed with clear silicone. It does not appear to affect the operation of the luminaire but is shocking quality control. The luminaires come with a pre wired flex, when i say this is short, that is an understatement. You will need to mount your connection box literally touching the bracket and at the left hand side of the luminaire otherwise you do not have a cats chance in hell of terminating it. Worse still the only way to get the lid on the terminal box is to release the luminaire and let it hang by the flex whilst you put the lid on. An alternative would be to mount the terminal box under the luminaire or to the outside left land side rather than behind the luminaire. The app is totally unpredictable, you can get it to see one luminaire but seeing both is proving a challange. i have tried different apps with marginally better success with an alternative app but the other luminaire drops out after seconds. It is fairly easy to connect to a wireless sound system and one of the luminaires and have an acceptable light show. certainly would add atmosphere to a garden party/disco. Some apps work and some do not.One of the luminaires seems to have an internal wiring anomaly, when you press green it comes on red and when you press red it comes on green. Very very annoying. How this is possible is beyond me.There luminaires are supposed to be 100W/10,000lm, I had a 50W LED luminaire previously, can't remember the output now probably around 4500lm and is now around 6 years old. This was brighter than this luminaire so it is either exceptionally inefficient LED's or is not a 100W luminaire.I will try again tonight (my photo cells currently overriding power to the luminaire). Will post again to advise of outcome. As it stands if purchasing one luminaire it's probably a reasonable deal but do not expect it to be powerful, if purchasing more consider it carefully in light of my own experience.
