McFarlane DC Multiverse Superman: Action Comics #1000 Action Figure

This 7-inch Superman action figure is AWESOME. It has superb hear and figure sculpting. He has 22 points of articulation, and for the most part, they all work well. He comes with a flight stand and collectible trading card, both nice touches. The collectible card is even nice; it comes on heavy card stock and actually has a little heft to it. I am a lapsed DC collector, this is a new start for me, and I can’t to build my DC collection...

I love the articulation on him and his design, but I do agree with most people that if you're looking for the *perfect* Superman figure, this is not it. That said, he is still really great! Making his elbows single joint is probably *my* biggest complaint, but I see where people are coming from about the fact that he doesn't have an emblem on his cape, that you have to bend his hair to get him to look up very far at all, and that he only has one fist hand.If you're just looking to get a great looking Superman figure (like me), you've come to the right place.If you're looking for the penultimate Superman figure in design and poseability, I would suggest saving up the money for the Hush Mafex figure. (Even I'm not a fan of that one though cause both of his heads look so grumpy)

Absolutely love this figure! The articulation is superb and even with a rubber cape he can be posed and balanced well. The paint is on point and the proportions, although not to real life scale, look appropriate. What a steal at the price. Much nicer than other $20 -$30 figures. I have taken several photos with this figure and it comes out looking stunning. Comes with an extra set of hands and a stand. I'll probably try to replace the cape with one made out of fabric. Otherwise I have no other complaints.

Very detailed and made well. Colors were bright and vivid. Came in perfect condition.

I bought it for xmas time, I have been a comic reader for many years and have been hesitant to collect toy, now that I am older, I decide to pick up the action. This superman has Great details on whole figure, great colors very bright and bold. I pose really well fro flying, only this is when you pose it standing it felt abit odd but probably because it was meant to be posed flying, but I am content for a flying superman!

When I first heard McFarlane was gaining the DC license I was skeptical. McFarlane was never known for their articulation, but the sculpt, too the point where many of McFarlanes figures were practically sculptures. At the same time though Mattel hasn’t been doing the best job they could with DC, with Hasbro’s Marvel Legends outshining them in every way imaginable. I always respected McFarlane, but I didn’t know if they could pull off a line to truly compete with Marvel Legends. But, I am very pleased with these first releases, as they are very high quality, with a surprising amount of articulation, and the average amount of accessories you’d expect with a $20 figure. Batman definitely isn’t my favorite of this wave, but, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad figure, in fact it’s quite the contrary. He has a good design, based off of Detective Comics #1000, and not the standard Rebirth suit I was expecting, but that isn’t a bad thing, but a good thing, as this feels much more like a classic Batman design, invoking the feel of Batman Year One, and Hush, with some modern details, such as the texturing on the sides. The headsculpt isn’t the best, but it’s not bad either, and it reminds me a lot of the 2004 The Batman cartoon, but a bit more like a comic version of that. His cape is a softish plastic, but not as soft as most Mattel plastic capes, and is posed over his shoulders, but surprisingly doesn’t hinder much articulation at all, and is sculpting really well. He comes with a Grapple Gun, with an extended wire and hook to appear as if he is about to grapple up, or pull an enemy to him Scorpion style, which is cool, although in some ways I wish the made the wire removable, but it isn’t a deal breaker. The biggest point of contention for many people is that this line is in the 7” scale, and not the Marvel Legends and Mattel 6” scale, but to me that works out fine, as I collected way more DC Direct designer series and Arkham figures, with a few Essentials as well, and these scale near perfectly with them, but, it’s a matter of personal preference. It’s definitely superior to most Mattel Batman figures, and you can’t go wrong if you are just starting collecting, but I do think the NECA SDCC Batman Predator 2 Pack figure is superior, but that figure is of course extremely rare due to the nature of Con exclusives. If you already have a ton of Batman figures than you’d be safe skipping this, even if it’s just to wait for the newly revealed Arkham and White Knight Batman figures McFarlane revealed. But if you are interested than I would say go for it. He is a very good figure, and more poseable than the Mattel and most Direct Batman figures.

Batman Action FigureI bought this Batman figure for various reasons, one in particular I really like the models that this company has released, this one in particular I liked the most; Because the doll's joints are very good, for that reason I have published 6 photos showing its ease of articulation and standing without the need for the base with which this product comes. I am satisfied by the details of the figure I would have liked him to bring a pair of sleight of hand or more Batman weapons. But I am happy with the purchase and I give it 5 stars for me if it was worth buying.Batman Figura de acciónCompre esta figura de Batman por varios motivos, una en especial me gusta mucho los modelos que ha sacado dicha compañía, este en especial me gustó mas; debido que las articulaciones del muñeco son muy buenas por ese motivo he publicado 6 fotos donde se aprecia su facilidad de articularse y mantenerse de pie sin necesidad de la base con la que viene dicho producto. Estoy satisfecho por los detalles de la figura me hubiera gustado que trajera un par de juego de manos o mas armas de Batman. Pero estoy conforme con la compra y le doy 5 estrellas para mi si valió la pena comprarlo.
