Three weeks later I still haven't heard from tech support
The camera looks fine, installs well on top of the monitor. It doesn't work off the bat, you need to download drivers which are not provided in the box. Instead, you're given an IP address (sketchy and not secure) which doesn't open. I contacted tech support and it's been three weeks without a response. I returned the item; thank the stars for Amazon's return policy.Personally, I say don't waste your time with this one.

Great once i got Windows to use it!
I had to use the fix by 4winkey.com "how to fix face recognition windows hello not working after windows 10 update".Taking this step enabled widows 10 latest update to use the bio-metric data for windows Hello. Worked flawlessly after that! The video camera could have been a tad bit better, but that IR sensor is really what i purchased it for, and its well worth the price!

Good Windows Hello device, Bad Camera Quality
The gist of my review is that if having face-recognition for Windows Hello is a top priority and camera quality is much less of a priority, this would be a great, decently affordable option! But if you care about camera quality, you might want to reconsider.I recently built a new computer and I wanted to finish it off by buying a Windows Hello webcam. Those are surprisingly difficult to find, as it seems you either have to pay an extra 100-ish dollars to get a super fancy 4k camera or pick between 3 or 4 options of 720p cameras from non-well-known companies. Well my priority at first was just getting windows hello, especially since my old camera was also 720p, so I thought it would be an upgrade.Well, I won't lie, the Windows Hello feature worked perfectly. I had to reset my computer once after I plugged it in to make sure the drivers were properly installed and Windows recognized it, but after that, windows hello worked perfectly and easily and quickly every single time, no complaints there! But then, I opened the camera app, and the camera quality on this was honestly difficult to look at. It has a difficult time adjusting for light, and it is incredibly grainy and noisy as if the ISO is turned all the way up constantly. I had to choose between lighting up my shot and being completely washed out or dimming the lights and having it look like I was in a pitch black room.I tried finding other apps or drivers or anything to run this camera to try to adjust more than the default settings and make it look tolerable, but I could not. I will say that if you have excellent lighting from in front of you and you ONLY use this for instances (like streaming) where the video feed only shows a tiny icon of yourself, having it that small does a decent job at hiding the poor quality. But anything bigger than that, such as photos or videos or any full-screen Skype calls, and your eyes are drawn to the grainy, noisy quality of the entire camera.Overall, again, if you JUST need this for Windows Hello, this would be a decently priced option while still giving you at least the capability of using it as a camera. However, if you are hoping it will be the same decent quality as other, much cheaper 720p cameras from more well known companies, you will be dissapointed. My recommendation is to either forget about windows hello and get a MUCH higher quality camera for a fraction of, if not equal price. OR if you can afford it, spend the extra and upgrade to the more expensive 4k option (Logitech Brio, which is what I ended up with after trying this one) with facial recognition.

Easy way to add facial recognition login to Windows 10
Bought this to add Windows Hello functionality to my computer. Plugged it in and it worked straight away.Set up was easy in windows. The camera quality itself isn't the greatest, but it works very well for signin and for quick video calls. Recommended for those use cases.
